it seems that your LCD5 does not communicate with the new controller. Can you swap LCD between your two bikes?

    Converting Carrera Subway 2

it's the PAS that acts as a switch in all the usual torque sensors. The TS signal is inhibited by the PAS while the torque signal will control the current according to the selected riding mode. I think you and Mechaniker have more in common than your apparent tribes - cadence and torque. Both of...

    Woosh Going headless

it's all waterproof cabling. The simplest solution is to ask Andy to supply a 5-pin extension lead. Cut the plug off and strip the wires. Check with a multitester before joining the on/off wires.

I keep Sunrace 8-speed 11T-28T freewheels. The OP had originally 9-speed cassette, so either he buys a 7-speed shifter and put up with 13T sprocket or 9-speed freewheel and a freewheel tool with thin wall. BTW, what do you think of Mechaniker's torque sensor that he builds into the freehub?

    Converting Carrera Subway 2

you need 11T or 12T sprocket on 8/9/10-speed freewheels for a more relaxed cruising at 15mph. 7-speed freewheel has 13T on the smallest rear sprocket. The error the OP made was to buy a motor with thread for a freewheel instead of a freehub.

he's got the controller out, so he must have got the lock open. I wonder why he hasn't contacted support@wooshbikes.co.uk. Andy who deals with support can answer all his questions.

    cassette Torque-sensor Hubmotors

Correct. At the time (2014), the xofo motor was connected to a Lishui controller. I gave up on this kit a long time ago, so can't remember accurately how it was done. If I remember correctly, the torque sensor output was connected to the throttle input.

You should use a 9-speed shifter with 9-speed freewheel, 7-speed shifter with 7-speed freewheel. The spacing is not the same

    cassette Torque-sensor Hubmotors

I did use a torque sensor built into the motor in 2013-2014. Link. Saneagle tested it and pointed out the weakness of torque sensor in the hub: the amplitude of the response depends on the gear you are in and it hits the limit pretty easily. I now use a bottom bracket TS. Have you got a solution...

Remove the brake rotor. Sometimes people re-use their old rotor bolts which may be too long. The second place where binding may happen is on the ball-bearing chain side. You have two M10 nuts that limit the dropout. Loosen them a little to see if the binding goes away.

There is a very slight increase in friction with a geared hub motor because the motor has an internal hub but you should get 5 revolutions or more of freewheeling when you spin your geared hub motor by hand.

I watched lauraK interviewing Jenrick this morning. Add him to your list. Sunak shouldn't worry. Jenrick made a good job of explaining why their Rwanda plan would never work.

If I remember correctly, the santana2's motor is hall-less. The same Lishui controller will run with or without Hall sensors.

unlikely. Your motor was working recently, so the connections were good until then. The burnt sleeve needs replacing you can ask Andy@wooshbikes.co.uk to send you one, it costs about 5 pence each. You need a working battery first.
