Prices of the electricity we use to charge

You worry too much that our government is going to shut down gas power stations. Nobody is going to build new gas fired power stations. The old ones will close when their running costs becomes unprofitable and that will happen within a decade or two at most. At the moment, molten salt reactors...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

None of these things is going to happen for a decade or two. Renewables will replace gradually gas power stations like gas replaced coal in the past. I watch what the Chinese are doing. They have already done more for renewables than any other country in the world, and not just by producing...

E-bike seizures surge as police take 'death traps' off the streets

They describe it as a 750W bike, clearly not street legal without number plate.

Can you post a link to the Engwe bike that has been seized? As far as I know, if the bike is described as EN15194 compliant, it must not have twist and go throttle.

EV's batteries are cheaper year after year. If the Chinese can make and sell a family car for $7,000 in China (medium sized family saloon, 500km range), how much do you think the car's battery costs?

rich people have forceful lawyers. Their lawyers go in with all the means to push back public prosecutors and buy whatever extra facilities they can get. I am pretty sure if Trump goes to jail some time in the future, he won't lose any of his creature comfort except perhaps his private jets.

I thought it's clear enough. Tongsheng makes the motors, they label them anyway they like.

they could ask Tongheng to label their motor as 250W like I do. BTW, the price that PSW is selling does not include VAT and duty.

If all the cars were electric, you'd have on average 20 millions * 50kWH = 1,000GWH storage capacity available to put back to the grid. If you look at the cost of griod level storage batteries, it's about $200/kwh or $200 millions per GWH.

E-bike seizures surge as police take 'death traps' off the streets

The 250W is very often misunderstood because a lot of people still remember the old formula that they learnt in high school such as P= V*I and V = R*I. Those formula don't apply to ebikes and EN15194. They are correct when applied to a resistive load but not a motor. Saneagle explains much...

    Carbon-Mtb build for various dropout

I did not know that Shengyi has now your torque sensor in one of their motors. That's good news. Aikema only do the 85SX with your torque sensor, they call it 85TS, 30NM-35NM. I have one of the Aikema 85TS with your sensor and love it. Your torque sensor seems to be more responsive than their...

In the video I posted, a 600mah battery was enough to shatter the Pyrex dish that the cell was placed in when it exploded at the end of the 1 minute short video. Watch it if you don't believe it's perfectly plausible.

I have no idea how mossad operates but it's usually the case that the simplest logical explanation trumps the rest. Software engineers can blow up CPUs, causing a massive discharge leading to fire and explosion. That's the simplest explanation.

This is just one small capacity cell: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/yGDkiUAwxRs The pager contains a much larger capacity battery that powers the device for up to 2 months. There is little doubt that the battery explodes, I think explosive is not necessary. There are codes on the Internet to...

The pager weighs 95g on its own, including the battery. Adding 20g of explosive to a 95g would make the device noticeably heavier. Swapping the cell for another with very high discharge current is much easier and does not increase weight.
