    36 or 48 volts?

I suspect half of the members who have BBS02 bought them for speed. They are as capable as S-pedelecs without the price.

The Krieger weighs about 23kgs-24kgs including battery, mudguards and rack. The GSM kit is the equivalent of the Krieger motor weighs about 4.3kgs, the battery: 3.5kgs. If you start with a quality lightweight donnor bike with mudguards, rack and a rigid fork, the converted bike will weigh about...

Best value 36v battery on the market now

with most downtube batteries, you lift the battery up or push the battery forward to remove. You need about 1 inch of space in front or above the battery to take it out of its cradle. With the right pull bottle, the battery swings out, like on the picture, you can fit it where space is very...

I haven't got a clue what BEBA past and present have achieved for the community. Isn't it one of those acronyms like the guild of master double-glazers or some thing such, that companies pay £100 per annum for their own marketing purpose.

Best value 36v battery on the market now

this 11.6AH bottle battery with charger costs £265 from woosh including shipping may not be the cheapest but I think you should consider it for its special qualities. It has high discharge (30A BMS) to support the BBS02 500W, lightweight, Samsung cells, and right side pull fitting for the...

    36 or 48 volts?

your commute is practically flat - even the legal BBS01 36V 15A 250W is enough to hit 23-24mph on 700C wheels. The BBS02 48V 25A 750W is overkill - unless you need 28mph.

Xiongda 2 speed motor has died

I think the 3 bolts connect the lid to the gearbox, so yes, you remove them first then screw one back in for about 5mm/turns. Give to the spanner a sharp tap as on the picture, that should unscrew the lid, enough for you to unscrew it completely by hand.

Xiongda 2 speed motor has died

I have not opened the XD motor, so treat what I am saying here with caution. The XD motor has a sscew-on lid, there may be a grub screw on the side of the lid to stop the cover from spinning loose. https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=59369 Once you undo the lid, you will have...

Xiongda 2 speed motor has died

totally agreed. Woosh were probably the first supplier interested in their XD motors a couple of years ago and subsequently dropped the idea after their test bike locks up in reverse. If you are stuck, contact Woosh, they can service the XD motor for you.

talk of 'outlawed' without qualification is misleading. The throttle will not be outlawed as such. In view of the popularity of the throttle, some manufacturers will apply for type approval or reprogram the controller. The Woosh Gallego for example has the full throttle enabled only if the PAS...

I have shown dozens of people how to ride an electric bike. A lot of people attracted to e-bikes are not proficient cyclists, they find easy and re-assuring to be able to ride an e-bike like a scooter to start with, then later on, as a pedelec. My guess is they will find their legs getting...
