Your point now being?. Since your intention is to LEAVE, none of these strictures will apply . Nor of course the corresponding benefits.

No. Did you not get the memo on Qualified Majority Voting?. The ultimate veto is to leave. That the UK or any of the other 27 can do. By definition the bigger fish, UK, France, Germany have more clout in budget matters. Likewise the budget is balanced so that even small operators like Ireland...

The commissioners in the EU are continuously proposing laws. They are meeting with lobby groups, industry etc etc and are continuing to propose actions. BUT they do not make the laws. They set the agenda, but the Parliament votes on the laws. At every stage..be it speed limits on bikes, bike...

What your statistics are omitting OG, is that here is very extensive compromising and wheeler dealing before a topic even comes up for voting, so even those Nos ,will have been influenced by British wishes.

I find myself in agreement about the skiving off school bit. But the parents should be fined.. It is an offence!.

If the UK practiced PR and multiple seat constituencies, then your vote would always matter. It would require you to be more invested in the political process, and would inevitably lead to more representative democracy..and more coalitions and compromise

A tempting offer, but methinks we will pass. Seriously there is an assumption that because we speak the same language, that the Irish are little englanders . Its not at all true. If there is any affinity with UK people it might be closer to Northumbria than elsewhere..

I suspect you mean 2021, .. but that is not acceptable to us. We want Zero Border Checks

Except there is no NI Assembly nor has there been for the last 3 years. And there is no current talks. BJ has only been talking with one group ,which is a minority party in NI. The only subject on which the DUP is likely to hold a majority position is retention of the NI UK union.

The only logical inference is that he has no expectation of it being acceptable, but can now play a victim card.

And that works both ways. The tentative deal which we expect BJ to unveil today is a Bad Deal for Ireland ,and worse than Crashout. It will hurt us as our supplies of Ovaltine run out, but we will have plenty of cheddar cheese, beef ,duck, mushrooms potatoes etc . We don't need Walkers Crisps...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

So now we kind of have it. 1. The DUP to agree to a 2 year NI only backstop arrangement 2. The Rest of UK to agree to alignment for the two years...hence no need for borders over two years 3. The DUP or more properly Stormont to hold some kind of veto post these two years. 4. Fancy technology...

I suspect it was the two border one, until its evident flaws were flagged up. . We now have the ridiculous spectacle of our Leo, congratulating BJ for NOT supporting a moth eaten crazy notion, which as far as we can tell came from Whitehall!. Leo , Diplomacy is your middle name. .. you are...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Who or what do you believe?. Yesterday night tge story was that the British plan for the backstop was for two borders separated by 10 miles, and a time of flight between them . Well today as of two hours ago BJ saids that is all untrue!.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Generally speaking that would be true. But following that, the next question begged, is it is plausible?. Remember the Queen will already have been appraised of the Scottish courts decision and the REASON that the London court gave for their non decision. The Palace would have been highly...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That seems very late in the day. On what basis, would the Queen sack him?. The logical thing would to have had a vonc scheduled for that day. As I have said before what puzzles me is why a Prime Minister could be selected and given office of state, without a vote of confidence of the house.

Everything you say in this post is true(well I am taking the car lingo at face value as I am no petrol head ), but..but.. you are not the target audience for every add, and in many cases its the neat product placement that gets one. And we are exactly talking about Ferraris on racetracks, and...

Well is it can do those things Bovril is wonderful ..Those melanomas must be just like melons, and I love melons.. If I pour it on my apple trees, will I get melons?. .. not to hot about Bat droppings, so maybe I'll try Ovaltine... And just use the Bovril on my plants

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You cannot really believe that. No amount of Marmite advertising will affect me,a confirmed Bovril drinker, but it may affect the Ovaltine person, especially if it suggests a better nights sleep. In other words, you rarely change the minds 100% , but changing 20% is feasible... The older story...
