    Brexit, for once some facts.

You are arguing at cross purposes. There are competitive negotiator types who quibble over flys walking up a wall, because the competition is what drives them, and they want to best the other person..at anything. Then even when they win, they would just walk away..the prize is irrelevant

On that basis, I would assume that DC is merely yet another special advisor. Why would he have special powers?.

Hang on, the Civil Service operates on the principles of contracts. So what happens when Any person challenges this and demands to see the contract. Now I don't know the status of "advisors" and who pays then, but it must be on the basis of contract law. There is no way he can play that stunt...

    Speed Re-strictor removal

On my totally legal Motus, I hit 50 km.hr until a smigin of common sense surfaced in my brain, and I allowed myself slow down ,before my brains actually did surface. It is actually provable, as the Bosch display records maximum speed and it is still there 3 years later.

That is undoubtedly true, and illustrates the problem of not having a legal system independent of government and non partisan. It also requires a constitution which is capable of being amended. The problems in the USA are stemming from these reasons. The problem in the UK might be that it has no...

In one sense She has already interfered in selecting BJ as her PM ,without having this confirmed by the HoC. In this I believe she was badly advised. Her assent to the advice of RM was unfortunate, regarding the prorogation, but at least was in conformance with protocol. The situation would...

No I would not find it amusing I would consider it a nightmare. However ,I am still waiting for Fingers to identify the level of discourtesy BJ was afforded in Dublin May I point out that BJ has not been elected PM?. He was selected from a list of one sent to the Queen. I would see that as...

A telling comment from my wife yesterday... " Its not often I see a smile on Angela Merkel, but she was positively grinning on meeting BJ"

I am happy you did not qualify it as to human life. Or intelligent life.. as I have my doubts.

There is a problem with us small European countries, we no longer know our place. We joined an organisation which allows us to speak, without being told by our betters when to speak, and we have this concept called democracy and free speech. Now the Luxembourg PM does not dictate how the press...

Look this is really going off topic, .The original comment was a slur on two very competitive and competent retail chains. Yes I have been in big M&S shops and the range of groceries,in own brand variants is staggering, and they are wonderful..but expensive.

Incorrect. My favoured cereals are from Aldi or Lidl.. I go to both. Their chocolate is poor in comparison with say Green and Blacks, but their premium ham is excellent, and on a par with any top shop.

Yes it means nothing! Regrettably I find myself in agreement with the Leavers on this one. He can easily couch a request to remain in such obnoxious terms that it must be refused, and he can construct another backstop arrangement which is acceptable to no-one. He can then claim, legitimately...

I agree with you on that point. I have been extremely surprised that Labour took the stance it has taken..and I have referred a few times over the last few years. Flec suggests that it is a strategy ,but I have always seen it as a weakness . The depth of which was made clear at the Euro elections

I think instead "a house divided cannot stand." But in this context it is ,if they lie to their own people ,for even dubious advantage, they are untrustworthy ,and I will not give them the benefit of the doubt.

Can you not see that all these shanigans are brought about because of an utter lack of trust and integrity between the major UK players?. Anyone outside the UK bubble is shaking their collective head in bemusement. The British establishment cannot trust anyone within it to do what they say...

Oh that works only when there is only one house in walking distance, and you don't have a car, or even an ebike, its the only one with shop next door and in the good neighbourhood , and when they already know, to the pound what your income and prospects are, and will want you anyway, because...
