Help! Cannot find a bike for someone my size in UK at all!

If you use your gears sensibly, chain and sprocket wear is unimportant for 250w crank drives. You have to change gear a little in advance. The main disadvantage is hill start in the wrong gear.

I use their system for more than 15 years, I am too old to change now. I have space on ionos.co.uk, AWS and azure too but they cost more if I scale up.

Folding Ebike for commuting in UK

Avoid dragging if at all possible. You can just about roll it folded if you absolutely have to drag it up a few steps. I would not call it a roll though, certainly not like a Brompton. If you take a folding bike on a train, push it all the way inside the train and fold it when parked. Most...

Folding Ebike for commuting in UK

they are two models, one with the zoom monoshock fork the other with aluminium rigid fork. The reason for a rigid fork is not so much to offer a cheaper option, it's just that the standard telescopic stem is a tad too tall for riders under 5ft2. Short riders if they sit too upright, they can't...

Have you seen how bad Sterling is doing at the moment? That's 13% drop in the last 6 months against the US Dollar. whichever bike you decide on, you should buy it soon. Prices can only go up with rampant inflation. I have no choice than increasing my prices too. The Rambletta will go up...

Folding Ebike for commuting in UK

I usually do not comment on specific models. This time is an exception because the OP asked for a direct comparison. I took the Fiido D11's details on the current advertisement on ebay. Follow the link and you can see that it does not have any of the accessories you have on your bike. I suppose...

I don't know what happened there. The connection to the server is not metered and I do keep several resolutions of the same photo on the server. The hires version gives good level of details when zoomed in. This one is medium res (1000 x 700 pixels).

Folding Ebike for commuting in UK

I did explain the difference between the Woosh Rambletta against many other folding bikes. They also apply to both the Fiido 11 and Fiido 4S: suspension*, gearing*, step through frame, propstand, lights, bell, mudguards, full sized chainguard etc. It weighs a bit more than the Fiido11 and...

Help! Advice Please -What to get for Carrera Kraken Rear Wheel Build 48v/54v? 1000w/1500w?? 13/18/20Ah???

For offroading, you don't want a heavy motor nor heavy battery. I would suggest a high torque 48V 14A 250W BBS01 bottom bracket motor with a small bag battery (48V 10AH 2kg) fitted to the downtube or under the saddle. The gearing on a sports bike will do the rest. I will have such a kit in stock...

Help! Not sure which folding bike to buy

take a look at the £999 Woosh Rambletta. It's well equipped, lightweight, can take child seat, good range, good price and you can probably get it through your cycle to work scheme too. Lots of folding bikes don't have low step. If you want to fit a child seat, you can't step through with the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Demand for gilts has fallen sharply in recent weeks. FTSE is depressed. It's bound to happen sooner or later with Liz Truss taking over. The Pound has fallen more than 13% since March this year. That leaves me with no other choice than putting my prices up in October. BJ seems to have chosen the...

Is it possible to convert an 8 speed 11-32T to 10-32T?

The top sprocket of that cassette has 11 teeth though. One piece locknut and sprocket may do it but how would that work? The cassette's advantage is its simplicity

Is it possible to convert an 8 speed 11-32T to 10-32T?

I have never seen 10T on a bike. The sprocket's diameter would come so close to the diameter of the freehub's body so may necessitate a redesign of the freehub.

    Durable Mountain/City Bike around £2000-3000.

installation is usually not a problem. The light is off, the cables are factory made, you only have to push in a connector. The risk comes later. As you said, you don't know how many amps the lamp is going to draw, and what would happen if or when the lamp fails. The issue for many users is how...
