Price increases, has anyone come across any since Friday?

I agree, 20% is crazy as things stand, and companies will have stock to sell, bought at the old exchange rates. The problem is that with margins being squeezed since the autumn of last year when the real drop in £ happened very few will have the cash to ride it out. That's of course if the £...

Price increases, has anyone come across any since Friday?

I've just heard that Cube eBikes have gone up by 20% with immediate effect. I have also heard another importer has increased by 10% today again with immediate effect. We too have been crunching numbers all day, as of 10 minutes ago our costs are up by almost 12%, fortunately we have enough...

    Roodog electric bike

My pleasure Mike, for £1,099 we can now supply the same bike with decent forks fitted. Our Suntour forks have lock out and pre-load, in our opinion hugely important if you are going to have forks fitted. All the best, David

The SE is almost as quiet, but not silent. Not to shabby for £999! All the best, David

    Roodog electric bike

Hi Trex, sorry to but in. But... the Wisper Torque is just about the quietest bike I have ever ridden, it's a rear hub drive and far, far quieter than the Bosch mid drive. It's all in the algorithm! All the best, David

    G-tech bike,has anyone seen a proper test

Hi Keith, one of my stockists bought one and is keeping it in his shop to show people who ask, he has been asked about it many times. He says it's a good bike and well built, the Gates carbon belt is a nice touch. He has managed to achieve 15 miles in low setting. His observation was it's a...

    Battery q a newbie

Hi guys you ned to be very wary of quoted range figures. The 120 plus quoted is very optimistic! Tests are often done using a 9/10 stone rider on a completely flat velodrome type surface on a bike that has perfectly inflated tyres in the lowest setting. No hills, no head wind and a very...

    More help please...

Hi Suseka, Thats a very sensible question. There have been experiments with single speed ebikes but so far none have really caught on. It may be useful to consider that the assistance simply makes your legs feel more powerful. The gearing is there to help you speed along whilst turning the...

    Commuting bike

I think we are getting very far from the OP's original question. I can't really add to what has already been said here, if we need another thread on suspension forks, maybe we should start a new one? All the best David

    Commuting bike

Me too I left 60 behind many moons ago!!! :) A 1-2% loss of efficiency will be on very expensive high end suspension, likely soft tail, air etc and properly adjusted and tensioned. I would suggest on cheaper suspension on an incline it would be over 10%! The forks you are hankering after look...

    Commuting bike

That's a much better set than the Zoom and Top Gun forks I am comparing, these have pre-load. Suntour make great forks even these basic forks OK for a towpath or over cobbles or on flat trails. Not much use for climbing if you can't lock them out, unless of course they are set to very hard...

    More help please...

Thanks NealH, very succinct! Our posts crossed, here is my more drawn out explanation... Hi Suseka, Thanks for trying the bikes, I am delighted to read your other half has gone for the Wisper SE. Regarding the difference between Torque and SE, apart from the hydraulic brakes and a more...

    Commuting bike

I understand Trex but still feel strongly that if a customer can only afford "bad" suspension forks (your words) they are far better off with decent rigid forks, especially the elderly. They are light weight making the bike easier to handle and put into storage, will not sap energy and will not...
