yes, you are correct. If the e-scooter was bought second hand, the buyer assumes the risk and liability but when an affected person claims on their insurance, the insurance company will try to recover their expense from absolutely anyone connected to the incident. If the battery was imported...

if the product was bought on amazon or ebay, the customer or his/her insurance company can sue the platform. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/13/amazon-can-be-held-liable-for-faulty-goods-court-rules.html if he/she bought it on a website then I guess it's up to the customer to sue the website owner.

one thing that DIYers should be aware of and properly take into account when you buy your batteries from companies located outside the UK. I don't want to sound alarmist, and it's not about tax cheats, but it's about product liability which is automatically the importers. If you buy your battery...

No, the jacket is made of steel. That's why you can't solder your wires directly to it using your soldering iron and tin solder but have to weld steel to an intermediate like tin nickel strips (so wires can be soldered to them). The problem is not all batteries are made with safer and more...

the shape of the downtube is OK. There is plenty of space to fit a downtube battery. you can fit the TSDZ2 but you have to do a bit more DIY than usual. 1. remove the cable guide 2. remove the front derailleur and front gear shifter 3. reroute the rear brake hose 4. make a replacement anti...

I agree with most points except this one. There are lots of quality hub motors weighing in the region of 2kgs-3kgs like crank motors. for example: Aikema 85SX 1.6kgs front, 1.8kgs rear, MXUS XF08C rear 2.8kgs etc. For comparison, Bosch Bosch Performance Line CX GEN 4 weighs 2.9kgs. Hub motors...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

how would you like our government respond to energy companies driving up inflation? France deals with it by nationalising EDF earlier this week. This task is easy because the state owns already 87%. EDF caps electricity price. Would you like the UK nationalising electricity and gas distribution...

EU membership saves a great deal of fees for small export orders taken on my website. Since 1/1/2021, if I want to sell to the EU, I have to use amazon or ebay. You avoid border costs that way but have to pay paypal fees and amazon/ebay fees, about 15% in total on average. That's why I stopped...

I am very surprised by this comment. Sure, air forks are nicer to have but coil spring forks like the popular Suntour E25 that are fitted to millions and millions of e-bikes all over Europe every year are nothing but extremely reliable. When did you hear that one of them failed before the bike...

hydraulic brakes are better. You have two pistons on the caliper, mechanical disc brakes only one. Hydraulic brakes are auto-adjusting, that means that pads' wear is automatically compensated, you never need your 5mm allen key to adjust the gap. Hydraulic hoses don't compress like the...

What is the radius (or diameter) of the 44t Tongsheng TSDZ2 chainring and how far out does it extend from the edge of the bottom bracket?

I usually check the current largest chainring on the bike. If it's 38T or more, then the TSDZ2 will fit. You still have to move any cables running below the bottom bracket.

if you are heavy, you should get hydraulic brakes. They have greater stopping power, the pads are auto-adjusting and more durable. Wide tyres and good suspension fork are also a good choice.

What is the actual measured distance between the bottom bracket and the Tongsheng TSDZ2.

here are the diameters of popular chainrings: Tooth Count Diameter (mm) Diameter (in) 42T 176.5mm 6.97in 44T 184.6mm 7.28in 46T 192.7mm 7.60in 48T 200.8mm 7.92in The TSDZ2 comes with 44T, so the reply to your question is 184.6mm/2 = 92mm from the centre of the bottom bracket. What...
