7 per 100,000 here. 57 per 100,000 in Newport, Gwent. Anglesey so low they don't publish the numbers. Powys has gone up a lot - now 17 per 100,000. Mind, as they have no real hospitals, I did wonder if there cases were appearing in other areas - such as Shrewsbury.

Very high. Living just a few miles from the sea, I am hoping that being coastal helps! And also hoping that I'll be able to go and get wet feet again soon.

Quite - no-one knows. And I could go on and on with speculation about "What happens if ...?" Some answers will be appearing soon, others might take many years.

I keep going round one loop - if an infectious dose is 100 units of viral particles, and let us accept the gross over-simplification, what happens to someone who receives 50 units? Or 25 units? Or less? Maybe repeatedly? Obviously, they don't get the same level of antibodies that someone who...

There are many unknown factors. Like whether a proportion of the population is effectively immune (for whatever reasons). And how many would have mild to very mild cases. If nothing had been done, the death rate would, I strongly suspect, have gone so high as to be unmanageable. But whether...

From recent figures, it is possibly more important to isolate people arriving at Wuhan from the UK. :(

Just saw a few minutes of Gogglebox. (Not a regular viewer, most of the time it is pretty boring if they are reacting to programs you didn't see.) Comments about Johnson were absolutely amazing - I did not expect such direct, pointed, and astute comments - with much humour.

I hope lots of NHS staff see this story/video - and are ready for the next attempt by politicians, especially current government, to exploit them for propaganda. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-europe-52699962/coronavirus-belgian-hospital-staff-turn-backs-on-pm-sophie-wilms

The protocol might have held but for DT slagging off Obama more or less continuously since election. Not the first issue of this sort. Saw this the other day and then lost it! Last week, BBC Scotland’s Disclosure programme revealed that there were multiple transmissions of coronavirus in Edinburgh on 26 and 27 February, well before the first confirmed case in the country on 1 March, but that this was not disclosed to the...

That still leaves open the real question. For example, hydrogen peroxide is an effective disinfectant. But, unlike phenolics (carbolic acid and so on), once sufficiently dilute it has very little impact. Low enough to be usable as a mouthwash.

If it saves you from death, maybe a bit of "chemical" is worth it? Very difficult to make a proper judgement. Especially as we do not know which chemicals they used. (Did CNN identify them?)

I'd like to propose an emergency bill, applicable to the whole UK, to be passed as an emergency measure. The pseudo-word "staycation" must not be used in any context whatsoever. Fixed penalty notices may be issued for individual use of the term. Hefty fines for summary convictions. Unlimited...

I just read they have now recruited 17,000. But to get from 1500 to 17,000 over a weekend clearly shows lack of anything approaching vetting for skills, security, or anything else. Or training. In Scotland, it appears, none have been recruited. Are they expected to use their own computers? Or...
