Newbie help - twin battery wiring and connectors

which I did do and succeeded in reviving the pack. Perhaps you can check this out by connecting the output of a charger directly to one of your test batteries, if the LED goes red, we know the FET is on, if it goes green, we know the BMS goes into self defence. Whichever outcome, it's bad for...

Newbie help - twin battery wiring and connectors

All the cells were down to about 2.4V. I did revive my old rack battery after the cold winter, the BMS worked OK after that. I gave my old bike away when I got my current bike. I don't know if it's still working.

Newbie help - twin battery wiring and connectors

yes, you are correct with regard to FET switches. But I remember doing an experiment, I tried to trickle charge a battery through the output port, the BMS switched the output off. I had to open the case and trickle charge through the battery meter. I can't remember if the same happened when the...

Newbie help - twin battery wiring and connectors

I don't think you need to do anything clever. Anderson lead seems like a good idea. The batteries cannot be charged through their output port, the stronger battery will get more power drawn until the voltage sag brings both to the same level. The main danger is fire risk. If one of the two FET...

    Bafang right motor?

    1. It will fit the Kona but you lose the smaller chain ring. 2. there is very little space available inside the triangle to fit a bottle battery, you may have to build your own battery and put it inside a soft frame bag. 3. The maximum speed on flat road is about 24mph with the 36V 25A BBS01 and...

    Attitude towards E-bikes

the price tag of £3,700 may have something to do with the general reaction. For me, bikes costing over £2,500 are bought only by people who do not think about prices (Sir, if you ask for the price, you can't afford it).

and 15mph not very fast, so there should not be any reason for the law to pick on aged riders wanting to beat the hills. The MMT version is good because you can only go as fast as you can pedal. I reckon 750W is not stupidly too powerful to get you into trouble.

Legal ebike that can climb steep hills fast!

the new crank drive from XOFO might. They have 250W, 500W and 750W versions. They look easier to open than the BBS01. The MMT (fitted with torque sensor) may be better because you can stop pedalling when changing gear, still need someone to review it.
