I ddin't notice this on the ITV, nor BBC, news (but missed bits of both) UK political parties unite to demand recall of parliament As virus death toll nears 10,000, Labour leader Keir Starmer calls for talks with Speaker The government faces a chorus of cross-party calls on Sunday for the...

The way they say 917 deaths in seconds and spend far longer telling us about Johnson. Yes, they should report Johnson in neutral, factual and brief terms. But 917 deaths (hospital only, of course) where we get pretty much no detail is grossly inadequate.

I am amazed that only about a thousand have been fined so far in England and Wales for lockdown transgressions. Someone not too far away has had five FPNs and now arrested. But in the millions of us, I think that is a staggeringly low number of FPNs.

Am more than happy doing household jobs (did a good external clean of garden shed today, and cooked). But it is incredibly frustrating that we need to order things to be delivered (e.g. timber for garden things to grow food) but it seems to take at least two weeks. I really want to get my feet...

The inference I take is that our actual cases are much higher than shown. Netherlands also has a very low number of recovered - 289. And Brazil is also very low - but nobody believes their figures at all.

Updated from Johns Hopkins: Germany Cases: 123,878 Deaths: 2,736 Recovered: 53,913 UK Cases: 79,865 Deaths: 9,891 Recovered: 614 (And that paltry number of recovered already seems to include half of Downing Street leaving precious few recoveries for the rest of the population.) I still...

Why not actually every single day? Patel, asked where she had been in recent weeks, said she had been working “virtually every single day” on a range of policy areas related to the pandemic. My mother used to tell me of people saying "Don't you know there's a war on?" to excuse or explain...

Possibly we should be considering that quite a few Greeks live on islands? Not long ago, Corfu was one of the few remaining "tourist" destinations which were without any cases confirmed. And, IIRC, Mykonos.
