I did actually write another bit saying it is society/economy/etc. that discriminates - not the virus.
Not sure what happened? Looks like I dropped it while posting.
Might be so - but that wasn't the virus doing the discrimination, 'twas society (or whatever you want to call it). The one that leaves some people without any shelter and others worrying only about whether they are richer or poorer than Bezos.
Would someone please edit the world? "This coronavirus doesn't discriminate." What a sadly pathetic and trite phrase. As if flu and all the other viruses did discriminate.
Even the current speaker, who seemed to want some glory but not to upset applecarts, has got to the point of intervening.
Mind, leaving it to the end of the month is unsatisfacory. Should be done on an "as soon as possible" basis with a recall the moment it is implemented.

Did you see the purported PM's rant last night?
Back into bluster mode. Ready to put "30,000 ventilators" on the side of a bus?

Late this afternoon, heard a familiar whoop-whoop. Familiar from a place I used to work which was on a regular flight path - for Chinooks. Looked up and saw one flying pretty close by and very low. Seemed to be heading towards Milford Haven. Could have been Castlemartin (tank range), Bluestone...

Don't worry - we have a perfectly reasonable long-er route which will probably suffice. :)
But it is something I have been conscious of - hence making sure I don't use the shortest possible route. I suspect some people are not thinking about it at all.
For those of us who still use liquid fuel, driving to our nearest supermarket is such a short distance I doubt the battery can fully recharge - especially if not used frequently.
How many battery replacements will be required due to obeying lockdown and only going shopping once a week - and...

Two opposition group leaders in the Welsh Assembly are to join the Welsh Government’s Covid group, the first minister has said.

There is a global shortage of the specialist chemicals for testing, contrary to claims by the British Chemicals Association
Again, identify what compounds are suffering shortages! Then we just possibly might believe the PM and his spokesman. Until...
It ends:
The UK’s approach to testing may be proven right — we just don’t know. But it has taken a different path to most.
I am not at all convinced that our approach is sensible.

Critics likely to claim Moscow will exploit goodwill gesture as public relations coup
Given the personal stakes that everyone has, including those in the chemical industry, I strongly suspect they are being honest and truthful - and would do almost anything to produce more of whatever reagent(s) are required.
