    Brexit, for once some facts.

It Would not be logical to claim that if A+B= F fail (x2 ) A= F , that A+C would Pass P Elementary Set theory. The Speaker must see t hat as a ruse. The only path which might work would be C =P And then C union A.

You DO know that that is from a TV drama series, not REAL life?.

It would generally be held as the function of an opposition to present a coherent alternative strategy, rather than just holding the executive to account.

Well was she not correct.. all it needed was 0.6 million more Scots to have voted differently..and tgey would have sent "Ed homewards to think again"

Yes but the Speaker has bought it as sufficiently different and that's all that matters at this stage . So there is an opportunity for the WA to be completed within the designated period.

Are these the same small folk ,which we call leprechauns, who look you in the eye and then shake their heads sadly?.

I could agree with the loud mouth bit.. I can see a summer disco hit where the word " Division " and " UnLock" feature strongly.

I see that D. Trusk is seeking to have a long extension. But it will be an uphill struggle..there are a lot of exasperated Heads of Government in the EC. ..

How would she be able to present it tomorrow?. Was it not already rejected yesterday by the Speaker?. A threat or promise to retire does not make a substantial change.

    Batteries in parallel

No... Read what I have written. ..all of it. The voltage on the line should be the same at every point ,but will be different until the current in the bussbar drops to zero. ... it is not absolutely impossible ,it is in fact always the case. The slightly higher voltage device will drive current...

    Batteries in parallel

Unfortunately you can and then you have large equalization currents so that the voltage in the loom can remain the same . The concept that all points on a wire are at the same voltage is a circuit theory idealised situation If the cell technology is different and the full charge voltage state...

    Batteries in parallel

Putting power sources in parallel is electrical engineering 101 . If both sources are initially discharged then their internal resistances are high and they can be safely connected in parallel. If both batteries are both charged and have IDENTICAL voltages, they can be joined in parallel ...

The only problem with that scenario is that the battery pack is the single largest cost item. .. I have speculated that this is where lower cost technologies like a rotating mass flywheel spun up by a low power single phase motor at say 2 kw could rapidly charge a car over 3 hours.

Zlatan, the description of that cable is as good an argument for remaining within the EU as any presented. The BS standards would have been derived and linked with ISO and IEC standards. Even the description on metric units. A prudent engineer in building a footbridge will design it with a 3:1...

10 years is a bit short, but heading towards 30 is more feasible. If you visited rural france ,as I do the number of 20 + year old cars on the roads is considerable..and these are not vintage rallies but working 304 and 404s

Yes, Pedelecers are moving outside their area of expertise on this one. The ability of the lines to carry power is determined by a body of engineering regulations and expertise developed over 150 years at this stage. Everything from the subtransformer station needs to be able to take any fault...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yes Zlatan, I am inclined to agree with you, and EU leaders like Merkel concur. Mrs May has shown remarkable resilience (or perhaps obstinacy) . What struck me in some of those debates is that she seems to understand what is at stake... An understanding which is eluding many on the back and...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I am getting tired making these corrections, but as the end is in sight, I will persevere. The Deal that Mrs May signed was the result of 2.5 years of negotiation, where the result of the EU working around Mrs Mays set of RED LINEs , and the few of their own. Since the substantial matters had...

I doubt there will be any response from Tommie, our NI colleague, about the quick passage of the following... In a very busy month getting our no deal Brexit legislation in place etc..... You may recall his posting when two NI fishing boats were arrested in Dundalk Bay last month.... . From the...
