I had my first jab, AZ, last Friday. Whenever the second jab is on offer, I'll take it, preferably another vaccine than the same AZ. No. The numbers are too small to make a proper assessment. 10 hospitalised and one death among those receiving a placebo.

it was a double blind study. 1000 out of 2000 adults averaging 31 years old were given a placebo. None got hospitalised or died. The study says that the vaccine did not make much difference. There isn't much we can do but wait for the V2.0 of these vaccines.

Maybe the nasal spray version of vaccine would be a good alternative for the second jab and regular booster. new cases drop by half every 2 weeks, currently at 18k a day, in a month, that would be 5k a day, by middle of April, it would be 1k a day. Life would get back to normal then.

first step is to stop the expediency. Virus spreads by planes. China had experienced SARS before and they knew a lot more than we do how to handle a potential pandemic. Our politicians on the other hand were totally complacent. Cheerfully unconcerned until it's too late to stop the virus.
