    Ideas please.

not easy to find a torque sensor for 100mm bottom bracket. I think you may have to go for a cadence sensor.

apparently, many more people waited for hours in the cold just to see Trump arriving in his car or plane. Trump is a celebrity. They are used to see him for more than a decade on TV, now they have a chance to see him for real. It's just curiosity. BJ will no doubt get the same treatment at the...

where did you read that? I thought 10% of those who voted for Trump in 2016 vote for Biden this time. If 20% of Dems vote for Trump then surely 30% of Reps must have switched side to make up the current popular vote prediction.

Rasmussen perhaps? I read something amusing: Trump has a habit of self-assessing his own approval among Republicans without actually citing any data. He has tweeted about his GOP approval nearly 50 times over the course of two years, only twice mentioning actual polls. He initially said his...

in election polls, the results of previous election are used to adjust the weighting of the dataset - so the accuracy should improve compared to previous elections. In Clinton / Trump, the poll predictions were: chance of winning: 71.4% / 28.6%. Real result: Trump won. electoral votes...

Pick No 2. if you don't switch, your chance of winning the car is between 1/3 and 1/2. Door No2 gives a little better statistical chance, 1/2. I use this strategy quite often to plan for new bikes.

Those 50% believe that Washington is full of corrupt politicians and Trump is not a politician so can't be one of them. Also, because he says so many things contrary to political norms, so he must be more truthful than politicians. You could say that's naive but... DT delivered $2,000 tax cut a...

we'll know roughly if the polls are accurate by 1AM when results and exit polls from small states start to come in (especially Georgia). I have faith in polls...

Out of the swing states, Florida, North Carolina and Arizona are must win states for Trump, they are about the first to declare with near certainty around 4AM. They are all likely to go for Biden. If they do, I can't see how Trump can declare victory.

it's 12% but I think his chance of winning this time is practically nil.

JC is a victim of his own doing. He divided Labour on brexit. He lets his spads interfere with those he put in charge of investigating anti-semitism.

If Trump loses tomorrow, he'll have done the world a favour. Populism will start receding with him gone.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The problem didn't happen 6000 years ago. Not even 10 years ago. It's a phenomenon of social media, people think they can post anything they like. JC didn't do much against this form of 'freedom of expression (or exaggeration)' because he uses it himself. Starmer does not exaggerate. Starmer...

JC is not very different from DT. Both are populists. Both put up a good show at rallies but neither delivered much on their promises. Both run chaotic administrations. Let's see what Starmer will do nearer to 2024.

you still don't see it. JC makes the point that it's a small problem - that's the problem itself. If it's small, how come he could not fix it? The only explanation is he is useless. He still can't see it even now, 6 months after he lost his job. Would anyone give him a job?

I remember very well how Emily Thornberry talked about it after losing the election. They (JC and McDonnell) were making up everyday more promises - so much so that none of the members of the shadow cabinet could remember what was already promised before. Did you remember the free broadband offer?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

yes, I think Starmer has a lot more integrity than JC. BS would describe JC as one of those professional losers who got lucky. It's easy to pick up the megaphone and repeat all the wrongs of the capitalistic society we live in. Hello? Even communist China has thousands of billionaires. His...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I just look a bit further down the line. The anti-semitism saga was the stick the media beat Labour with. JC thinks/thought rightly or wrongly that it's a tiny problem because it does not compare with other issues. When the election came, it's clear that JC lacked credibility because he has not...
