    Brexit, for once some facts.

I once spoiled my ballot paper - in a Crime Commissioner election. Two reasons: no candidate appealed and I disagreed with the whole process. Certainly spoiling (rather than not turning out) sends a message but probably only if at a higher than usual level.

Very little has been said recently, here or in many other places, about NI. Just had quite a lot of discussion on BBC - sounds as if they are anything but happy with Johnson and some suggestions his Irish Sea border might be having profound effects on politics there. In my view, it isn't JC who...

A very common retort when someone attempts to do something outside their usual range is to suggest they don't give up their day job. In this case, yes, he should not try this again. But I'd be delighted if he DID give up his day job (such as it is). 'I set trends dem man copy': Michael Gove...

The final paragraph is: The UK must set out a coherent and pro-active strategy on Russia, led by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and co-ordinated across the whole of Government, that clearly links together the diplomatic, military and financial tools that the UK can use to...

Are disabled blue badges going to be valid in the EU? I mean right now as well as post any brexit. It appears that the DfT has removed the stars and some wording. No-one seems to know whether it affects their validity with the EU27. And the DfT refuse to say who ordered the change. Similarly...

We actually seem rather better at picking people up from holidays arranged by failed operators than keeping holiday companies going. And it wasn't Whitehall that arranged the operation but the CAA and many others. Can't even imagine the mess if FCO had been in charge.

The tories are claiming no tax rises yet they too are promising much spending, more money in our pockets, and the consequences of brexit - quite possibly of the no-deal variety. Just who is causing the Armageddon? (“put more money back in people’s pockets” doesn't take into consideration that...
