There is a real interesting conundrum flagged up in the Irish website today. Irish post An American, married to a woman from Derry ..or Londonderry (so as not to offend Tommie) was refused automatic visa of the UK. This was on the grounds that his wife was British, although she had never...

Tom, I don't want to make a fuss , but in truth there was a difference. Attlee's tenure did occur after the war, during a period when I was just a gleam in someone's eye, . Thatchers tenure I well remember. The fundemental difference is that the cold wind of loss of empire did not occur for...

I think his comment was intended tongue in cheek as the emoji might imply. But the fundemental problem remains. Look at the Raleigh motus. I've done 2000km in 15 months , one puncture, no faults. All those ebikes are heavy beasts, but you can appreciate the stability going downhill at 50 km hr.. If transporting by car get a towehitch mounted carrier. Your back will thank you.... And remove the battery...

The difference between Ireland and those other regions you mention is that Ireland is the subject of the Anglo Irish agreement, basically an international treaty, lodged in the UN etc etc so is a special case. It is not in the gift of the uk parliament to renage on it. It is just one of the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Current wisdom, is that the UK wants nothing to change during the indeterminate transition period. An assumption that they can continue to trade on the world stage, as if they were still a functioning part of the EU . As Barnier essentially said that's ok by us, provide you don't deviate from...
