My rims are supplied by the factory that built the bike. Search the net for wide rims. Something like this 38mm wide may be? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMX-Bike-Rim-Gusset-Black-Dog-Rim-36H-Black-Anodised/283966340133

    Rear wheel recommendations please

I think you probably can use 45mm wide rims like I have on the Rio-FB. You don't have to use 3" wide tyres, the rim can take 2.6" Smart Sam tyres for example. I don't sell them though, it's a suggestion.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

several studies show that failure to lockdown or leaving lockdown too early will cost more, not just in casualties but also in economic cost. However, nothing is worse than dithering and half measures. I don't know why this government is obsessed with the number 3, 3 things in each of their...

    Rear wheel recommendations please

Without pictures of your bike, I can't say if it's possible to do so. If your rear frame can take 3" wide tyres, then you can use wide rims like on my Rio Fat Boy. https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?rio-fb

    Brexit, for once some facts.

quite rightly so. Biden has 4 children. If you want to talk about one of them, maybe in the interest of fairness, you should compare the children of Joe Biden (Beau Biden and Ashley Biden, Naomi Biden died at an early age) to the children of Donald Trump or the main people, Joe Biden to Donald...

he will have to check the rear dropout but from some google pictures, it looks like regular 135mm dropout. The rear motorwheel will add about 1.9kg unsprung mass but I am pretty sure that it won't affect the rear spring air pressure, it's 2kg compared to 60% of the rider's own weight.

the G30 (30 cells) weighs only 1.5kgs, the G20 (20 cells) weighs even less. Not much more than the water bottles and I use the existing water bottle bolts.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the upper limit of NHS's capacity is about 15,000 beds for Covid for 12 days rotation, 1,200 new patients a day, about 10,000-13,000 new cases a day. If the virus turns nasty in its mutations then far less.

is this your bike? Assuming it is, you can keep it lightweight. Fit an Aikema 85SX rear hub and a G30 bottle battery instead of an HL battery. https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?hubkits#85sx https://wooshbikes.co.uk/2020/battery/G30.jpg The G30 is anodized black.

that's what the Shimano patent/design does. Two different sized main cogs get shifted out/in place by a rod inside the crank motor. I suppose the main benefit is shifting the middle gear is equal to shifting 3 gears on the derailleur.

Shimano has taken out a patent for their middle motor with internal two speed gearbox. I guess the current arrangement with derailleurs is so cost efficient that companies don't see the benefit of middle gearboxes.

I suppose if you order 50+ G060.250.DC from them. It's mega hassle at the moment. I can't get much stuff from any factory.

that is Bafang way of doing things. The Rio-FB has the G06 36V version. I did ask Bafang to specify 250W on the G06 48V motors but they supplied them without the extra laser label.

Rear hub motor recommendations for cycle courier bike

vfr is correct. If your motor is rusty, typically by riding bikes in salty sea air (beaches) and you try to 'unjam' your motor by moving the bike back and forward, you can damage the nylon cogs. Best to take the core out and clean off the rust. I have seen about 10 broken nylon cogs in 10 years...

riding a bike with a crank drive middle motor is very close to riding a normal bike, you just feel you have bionic legs, whatever your age. Because the motor power is directly proportional to your cadence, you will need to keep your cadence high, above 60RPM. The need for high cadence is much...

Rear hub motor recommendations for cycle courier bike

DD motors are of course less energy efficient at low speed compared to geared hub motors. motor wear is also subject to riders weight, style etc. The figure I gave is an average. I usually replace the whole clutch and nylon gears, so the fault could be either clutch or nylon cogs. Most of the...
