    I did say "wearing" for about two hours. Standing/walking was about ten minutes. They were so uncomfortable I put my shoes on and just sat for most of the time.

    It wasn't ache. It was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. Sleep was impaired. To begin with I couldn't drive. And you most certainly don't retrain yourself to walk properly if it is too painful to walk at all!

    What would happen if he didn't use them? I spent a fortune for special insoles/supports because a specialist said they would help my problem at the time. They actually made it massively worse and I could hardly walk at all for two weeks after wearing shoes with them in for about two hours.

    I simply cannot wear anything that is completely flat - not even padding around in slippers. Must have a bit of a heel. But if I can feel anything under my arches, they will sooner or later cause pain. Not that I can run properly in the first place! :-)

    Absolutely he could. First, set up a standard sized cabinet. Second, cancel brexit - saving billions. Third, remove himself from the cabinet thus reducing the size of the cabinet by at least half. (As assessed by incompetence, ego, and numerous other measures.)
