What a very odd list. (Yes, "very" used intentionally.) Numerous fullstops not followed by double spaces. "imperial" without a capital. "Esp." instead of "Esq.".

Which is why I put it as a hypothetical inauguration in a very hot summer. Goodness knows how many billions and it is restricted to low speed on the day - would at the very least not look good.

How much heavier than the concrete sleepers that have been in near-universal use on UK mainline tracks for many years? Seems it was not just sleeper movement but sagging catenaries, failing A/C, and other issues which afflicted the UK rail network. And reducing speeds to make rail buckling less...

The other day we saw discussion of the 30 billion increase in cost of HS2. Just wondering how much more it would cost to make sure it can continue running at 38.1C (or whatever everyone thinks will be needed by the time it starts)? It would be a pretty typical mistake for it to be built and...

Take back control, get rid of EU courts having jurisdiction. EU and Canada close to agreeing WTO appeal court alternative I guess, if we ever entered a trade agreement with Canada, we too would end up agreeing to some non-UK court alternative. I am wondering what the shortest time between becoming PM and losing a by-election? Of course we do not know whether that will be the case in Brecon and Radnorshire next Thursday, but always good to have some statistics ready.

About the scale of a wormcast. The entire tory party is around 0.25% of the UK population and I hazard a guess even a massive vote in his favour would not exceed 0.15%.

As someone living in the rest of the UK, I bitterly resent the possibility of a part of the UK being on the other side of a customs barrier of any sort. Equally, some residents of NI might resent it the other way around. (I accept the pragmatic management of the channel tunnel terminals because...

But using the word "journalist" will evoke concepts such as "freedom of the press". And they will be claimed as some sort of universal defence for whatever they want to do. Some other people will be fooled... Doing so should be roundly criticised by real journalists who do their damnedest to...
