    Brexit, for once some facts.

I imagine that CV needs cells with ACE2 receptors on their surface to cause infection: throat, lungs, arteries, heart, kidneys and intestines. If you get it through your food, the symptoms may be milder than in your throat. If it gets to your arteries, kidneys or heart, then you may die...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

sometime ago, someone asked the question in this thread: why shares of companies making CV tests went up much more than those researching/making a cure. Now we know.

    Introducing the Woosh Brompton cskit

the controller is a special model, tiny (about a quarter of the size of the case) and very light (less than 200g). It does not need the bag because it's waterproof but it may scratch the paint, that's why it's in a soft case. I am looking for a smaller case. It does not affect the fold - you...

    Introducing the Woosh Brompton cskit

Thank you Andy. I tried to reduce as many 'points of failure' as possible. Everything is bolted down, all the components are tried and tested, all the connectors are standard and waterproof...

    Introducing the Woosh Brompton cskit

it took a lot longer than I have wished but as it is just my pet project, there was never much urgency to see it completed. It's now done, well at least the first phase is done and I am very pleased to post some pictures here, hoping members will point me in the right direction regarding where...

    Hi everyone

it is a very good question concerning all bikes, not just your Ezee and Freego. You may have to use the service of a battery specialist who will build for you a new battery into the old battery casing.

I can agree with that but each death affects the whole family that has to live on. Stanley Johnson may say 'he took one for the side' but you can't say 'I let Covid get Grandpa for the kids' can you? We must do our best to keep the deaths low while looking for a cure.

it's not quite true. Their trend is up since 23 of May. Our trend is down since beginning of May. Their winter will also arrive earlier than ours. They'll pay a little later for their lack of a strategy. as of 30-May: Sweden: 6.01/1M UK: 3.72/1M...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the cost of 6 more weeks of lockdown is high (about £60 billions) but we'll get a far better chance of beating Covid by getting the numbers down, test and trace right. Compare that to 300+ deaths a day and an even bigger problem than now from September when students start their new year and the...

there are other factors like how quickly and easily can you get tested? are you living / shopping/ working in cramped spaces? how clean are public transport? Can you afford to stop working if you have symptoms or just put it down to a bout of common cold? I can't see many rich farmers getting Covid.

it's becoming just another endemic flu through mutation but may take decades to lose its high kill rate. You may not worry too much but many of us on this forum are in the high risk group and we are not ready just yet.

can't be worse than we do. Covid fatalities so far: Kuwait: 194 Iraq: 185 Iran: 7,677 Saudi: 458 UK: 38,161 We should look at Italy regarding easing of lockdown. They waited until their daily new cases come down to clearly below 1,000 a day. We still run at 2,000-2,500 a day. I also like the...

I am aware of the influence of temperature and humidity, when the UCL model came out. The trough between the April peak and the December peaks in the UCL model may be helped by weather factor. The latest 7-day average fatalities is 300. By gradual loosening from Monday, that number will go up...

current statistics: Covid occupied hospital beds: 8k, 1k fewer each week. We should continue with lockdown for at least 6 more weeks.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I am worried about the consequences of the current easing of lockdown. Every day of the week, we have 10 times more people exposed to Covid than in the whole of India. Trying to re-open the economy in time for the 3 summer months may turn out to be a false economy.

Thinking now is it all worth while ?

a fairer comparison should be how a bike looks after 1000, 5000 and 10,000 miles. You may have a 30 year old Claud Butler in the shed but would it be a good donor bike for conversion compared to a £300 new bike?
