Hub motor v Mid drive motor?

No. It offers a different riding experience. If you are prepared to spend £3k+ on that Look 765 Gravel, you must try it before deciding.

Beat Bike Toba Crossbar (Bike Log)

I will have something in between a hybrid and an MTB late July / beginning of August if you are still looking. It's called the 'Grand Camino'. It's based on the Camino frame (simply because the downtube battery's fastening is rock solid, unlikely to fly off when you hit a rock) but with...

    Crank motors

I usually ask how much the customer weighs. If it's over 100kgs, I would suggest 48V DWG22C or SWX02. Over 80kgs but under 100kgs, 36V SWX02, below 80kgs, XF08C or XF07. They have enough torque for riders with slight physical impairments. Those with impairment tend to fit the throttle as a backup.

    Crank motors

it is only when you try to climb a steep hill that the three different motor types show up their differences. You have to input more to get more out of a middle motor with torque sensor (Bosch and Tongsheng TSDZ2 for example). Increasing assistance helps but you still have pedal much harder and...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

They are usually employed by UK government and tend to infantilise our population. They have now found a new word: face covering. We are not too thick to put face covering on but too thick to put a face mask on.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Pensioners make up 12 millions, 28% of our population, to achieve herd immunity, you have to let COVID take about half a million, 4% of the pensioners. I reckon if we put it to a vote, £500 billion deficit or half a million pensioners, COVID will win.

First time e-bike chooser needing some guidance.

even when you buy online, your consumer rights are respected and protected. If you have a problem, the online seller or shop will have to assist you sorting it out, inside and outside the warranty period. If you can replace the part yourself, then it's usually quite quick, an online seller will...

First time e-bike chooser needing some guidance.

Shops are always more expensive than online outlets for obvious reasons: they have to pay for premises and staff. But if you can't maintain the mechanical bike yourself, then head for the nearest bike shop. @budsy: On the other hand, if you can whip the bottom bracket out of your bike, then it's...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The original estimate was 80% susceptible, 1% fatal, that gives a rough estimate of 5.5 millions infected. To achieve herd immunity, another 400,000 people over 70 still need to be culled.

presumably a fully effective vaccine would stop the virus from infecting you and I, so that would prevent the immune reaction from the Oxford vaccine if you have had the Oxford vaccine before.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

that may still be one good piece of the puzzle. The Oxford vaccine stops the disease getting worse for the patient. If I understand correctly, it interferes with the reproduction of the virus so presumably you have to be infected first for it to be effective. You can still spread it, perfect...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

in the month of April, COVID kills 25 times more people compared to prostate cancer. CV kills more than all the other underlying causes put together, except old age. and CV has affected so far only a small proportion of the population. If the disease is widespread and we still don't have a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

we don't know this for a couple of weeks. the ONS will publish the percentage of infected population. Once this information is available, we can calculate more or less exactly when this crisis is over (or not as the case may be).

Ideas for mounting hydraulic brake sensors on M6000 levers?

one of my customers made a bracket out of aluminium sheet to mount the magnet. I'll post a picture for you later when I find it. In the meantime, this link shows all the usual ways to solve this problem...

A few questions for a fat blokes first kit!

I can't remember much. I think the BBS01B touches the right chainstay. That's why I ended up fitting the XF08C to it. For your weight, the DWG22C would be better but it's out of stock until end of June.
