Carrera Crossfuse (Active Line Plus) struggling with hills

Torque is measured at the cranks for crank drive motors, and at the wheels for hub motors. When a crank drive motor turns the rear wheel, what is conserved is the power of the motor. The relationship between power and torque is: power (in Watts like 250W) = torque (in Newton Meter NM) *...

Carrera Crossfuse (Active Line Plus) struggling with hills

the output of a CD motor is proportional to the cadence. The problem is this: most riders can't keep their cadence at 100+ RPM to get the most out of the motor when climbing hills. If you like CD kits, have steep hills and are not very fit, choose the 48V TSDZ2T with throttle. It will give you...

60 firms, 80 candidate vaccines, all based on the new nano medicine technologies - most will kill SARS-COV-2 but many will also kill the patients, some right away, some in the near future. How to make $$$ billions:

    Brexit, for once some facts.

it's the viral load density. You need to look at the diffusion across a membrane. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fick%27s_laws_of_diffusion The mask does not protect as well if too many people are in a closed space too long. Droplets will stay suspended for hours in still air and in closed...

TSDZ2 - Is the speed sensor needed?

you should install the speed sensor, if only to make sure it's all working correctly. Keep the magnet about 10mm from the sensor head. Then think about changing the speed limit in the LCD instead of disconnecting the speed sensor. You would then know for sure when you go over the legal speed limit.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

it seems that we are settling down to 4,500-5,500 new confirmed cases a day since beginning of April (1/4-23/4) - at 12% death rate, that's 600 a day in hospitals. Plus 40% for deaths outside hospitals, that's 1,000 deaths a day. Italy has 2,700 new cases a day, nearly 50% less than we do. They...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Their problem is the ratio of number of confirmed cases versus number of tests. They want to maximise the confirmed cases and spend less on testing kits.

Bike not moving when putted on the ground

you have two freewheels, the normal freewheel on your right works like a single speed freewheel, the one on your left is driven by the motor. When the motor is on, the wheel moves but chain does not have to move.

I suppose they want to save up some test kits. That's the natural consequence of hiring bean counters to manage an outbreak.

If you are an essential worker and "have symptoms", you can request up to 5 home test kits for yourself and your family. It's a bit silly really while we have spare capacity. Why wait until an essential worker exhibits symptoms? that may be 10 days too late...

Voodoo Bizango is Halfords own brand. I like it though, albeit the battery is only 418WH, low for 2020. They don't build their bikes here though. I also like decathlon e-bikes. They are assembled in France, not some poor country in the Far East...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

even if the lockdown is maintained until the winter, the second wave is probably unavoidable. Those who recovered from it have not eliminated it completely from their system. This is unfortunately part of the replication and evolution mechanism of RNA viruses.
