Clicking "Agree" simply isn't strong enough. If leave had convinced, it would be a no-brainer to support a confirmatory referendum. For that is what it would be.

It strikes me that many of the know-alls who talked down were major figures in the leave campaign. I invent: "If we paint things people want on a red bus, the little people will lap it up and vote our way." [Yes, I know the bus wasn't painted - almost certainly some sort of vinyl sheet applied.]

Guardian says 700,000 quite clearly. Also says 1200 for Farage. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/oct/20/70000-demand-new-brexit-vote Have to say, have been impressed by the huge number of slogans on the placards. Some very witty, inspired, clever - but by far the majority I have seen...

Which is precisely what Farage (and others) said they would do had the 2016 apology for a referendum gone the other way.

In these days of massive photographic reconnaissance, isn't it easier than ever for the police to estimate attendance? Isn't there a head-recognition app which can count numbers in a photo within seconds? Of course, plus statistical information from transport companies, how busy roads are, etc...

No - I was not assigning blame to you. Just an observation of another legal system's different view of things. I believe 100% blame can be apportioned in UK law.

I spent some time as a young child in Berlin. One of the things family trotted out ever after was that everyone in the area bore some degree of blame when there was an accident. Not sure now if it was 5 or 10%.

There's no-one here who could be hard enough on them. Quite likely fb have more power over us than the EU - and we are not able to exert influence over fb as much as we can (could) over the EU.

Why stop at the Irish border? Let the whole EU join the UK. The United Kingdom of Great Britain, both bits of Ireland and the rest of the EU. Sounds good, doesn't it? (Does it solve Gibraltar as well?) Otherwise we will become the Untied [sic] Kingdom of Great Britain.

I bought the £19.95 one from Lidl a very short time ago. Assembled in garage but not yet in use. Seems pretty solid. I think they were about £25 originally. Might be they are only in a few branches. Just realised I could be helpful and add a piccie! (From a search, not mine.)
