the thing is, the 3-speed hub gear is very robust, lightweight, requires virtually no maintenance, hardly ever needs adjusting and costs next to nothing (compared to other hub gears)!
I would be very happy to make and sell solid 'plodders'.
the cost of producing a belt drive 3-speed hubgear is little more than a derailleur (about $50 a bike). I made one 3 years ago but it didn't sell well. My guess is people prefer to have 8-speed even if they rarely need more than 3...
I guessed already that you would not vote for Blair. He was pro Israel and pro USA on top of not being a socialist.
My question was would you vote for Kier Starmer next time? if you do, then Labour may have a chance because there must be millions of socialists like you.
you only need brake sensors if you install a throttle.
More and more customers choose our LCD only option, smaller 5-pin cable linking the controller to the LCD instead of the usual 1-4 loom, saving themselves £15 of unused components...
what do you mean masses of wires? it's not the kind of kits you buy on amazon or ebay.
there are typically 3 wires: one goes to the LCD, one goes to the motor and one for the pedal sensor.
A ready made bike hides the one going to the motor and to the pedal sensor. A good kit has them made to...
any folding bike with cadence sensor can do that, you pedal as much or as little as you like.
woosh Rambletta is one of them:

how about converting something like this Bergamont Vitesse N8 with a water bottle front hub kit? lightweight, reliability and relatively low cost.

I wonder if a conversion is not a better solution. The main issue with converting a full sus MTB is how to secure the battery so it does not fly off the bike when your bike hits a rock.
I would not like JC nor BJ to become PM
So I didn't vote at the last GE, I went to Spain that week.
A week after coming home, I got a severe cold, symptoms include headache, persistent dry cough and all food tasted like cardboard.
I saw Theresa Villiers on BBC News explaining Michael Gove's announcement.
When the BBC presenter mentioned Covid and the CBI, the Welsh and the Scottish governments asking for precisely the opposite, you will be pleased to learn that we won't extend the transition because that would stop us...
the frame is 44cm. She will need a non suspension post, there is no charge for that.
Top of the saddle to ground can be adjusted between 80cm (non-suspension post) and 110cm (suspension post).
