    Rent an E-Bike for £40 a month

be careful with it though, it's not street legal without a number plate, VED, insurance and you wearing a helmet. The law allows only 250W e-bikes with 15mph assisted speed. A heavy 1500W bike is not one that you can legally ride on cycle tracks.

Apparent lack of power to hub motor

check first that the brake pads don't touch the rotor. Use a torch to look into the space between the brake pads, If one of the pads touches the rotor, you need to loosen the two M5 bolts holding the caliper and adjust the caliper so that the rotor runs true in the middle between the two pads.

Apparent lack of power to hub motor

the lack of speed readout is a concern. The speed sensor is inside the motor. Unplug the throttle and brake sensors to narrow the possibilities. If the problem does not go away, unplug the motor connector, check the 9 pins for any sign of damage and reconnect. If the problem does not go away...

Apparent lack of power to hub motor

A possible cause is the side of your throttle touches something on the handebars. Unplug the throttle to see if the problem goes away. If it does, then move the throttle a bit, leaving about 1mm gap between the throttle and other things.

Apparent lack of power to hub motor

How to check the kit: check the motor connector. There is a ring imprinted on the motor's side of the 9-pin connector. You want to line up the parts of the connector so that two arrow heads face one another then push the two parts together until the ring reaches the controller's side. Post a...

    What battery to buy?

don't do that. Each set is optimised to work together. A 36V motor that is optimised for 15mph when run with a 48V controller is no longer optimised for 15mph but 30% higher, therefore will run at a lousy yield when climbing hills, it will shed a lot more heat and melt your plastic gears. All...

Help! 36v 17mah rear wheel conversion

torque goes up when the RPM goes down, when the motor stalls, torque is highest but of course, a stalling motor is not useful. The way that crank motors' torque is measured is also different from hub motors' torque. One RPM at the cranks can correspond between 1.5-4.5 wheels' RPM depending on...

that's the job for the media adviser. Cummings deals with government policies. That's what earned him £800 millions in this year's budget for his pet project 'blue skies' or whatever happens next after brexit.
