    Fantastic battery?!

If you integrate the first 60% (capacity * voltage), you get 404WH/61 miles = 6.6WH The remaining 226WH if used on the same rate of battery consumption will give up to 34 miles. the Shengyi motor is fairly economical and the bike weighs only 23kgs, running on 700C tyres and quite easy to pedal...

I can't see why not. It's the very principle of 'subsidiarity' that John Major reckoned he's got it sussed.

    Fantastic battery?!

    that's very impressive pedaling! 630WH * 58% / 61 miles = 6WH per mile

    Fantastic battery?!

yes, that's correct. To extract the most miles, you need to reduce the assist level as the battery voltage drops and top up the power when climbing a steep section with the throttle.

    Fantastic battery?!

yes, it's a simple Volt meter The first bar is off when more than 20% is used. The remaining charge is more than 60% but less than 80%. The second bar is off when more than 40% is used. The remaining charge is between 40% and 60% The third bar is off when more than 60% is used. The remaining...

that graph is not relevant. John's battery is made with top grade Panasonic 18650B (3500mAH instead of 3400mAH). Here is the discharge characteristic of this cell. For the battery, simply multiply the horizontal capacity scale by 5, vertical scale by 10, the pack is made of 10S5P array...

    Fantastic battery?!

The battery is good and the new bike is economical on battery but you need to check the battery's voltage with a multitester to be sure. The battery capacity is 17.5AH * 36V = 630WH When the battery is full, it should show 41.5V, totally flat: 31.5V. Each Volt corresponds to 10% of the charge...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Marr asked JC this morning: Marr: "Is the UK better inside the EU or outside the EU?" JC: "outside the EU" he seems to be at odd with most of Labour's membership and MPs. It's lethal for Labour if they can't go into the next GE without clarity on brexit.

When I moved to England, France had a doctor for every 700-800 inhabitants. there are still plenty of old GPs working well into their late 70s. My best friend is a GP, he's been trying to handover his surgery to a younger doctor for the last two years without success and could not even find a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I am in France at the moment. Had an apéritif with a few neigbours yesterday and the subject veered to brexit. 'Do you guys think of leaving the EU too?' The consensus is that may have been the case at the time of President Sarkozy but not now, they want to have the same tax rates and social...

you need to check the fork's dropout width first. the rest is OK. Judging by the picture, you may have the narrow fork, 74mm or 83mm. I that is the case, the choice of motor is restricted a fair bit, hence the cost goes up.
