    Brexit, for once some facts.

I know but it's still a matter of mild amusement each time Bojo comes out with another 'message', amusement mixed with despondency that this incredible country could go as low as having to choose between Bojo and Corbyn. On Preston's show, Bojo was saying we'll be out of the EU after Jan 2020...

Big fella, first bie sub £1500....

you will need both, torque and power, because you need to maintain a minimum speed. Let's say you weigh 120kg and you ride a 30kg bike up a 10% hill. Your minimal speed should really be more than 6mph. The required mechanical power for a rider weighing 120kg climbing a 10% gradient at 6mph is...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

it may be a good XMAS for remainers. Conservatives lead over Labour is narrowing. It's currently at 9% (Con: 42%, Lab: 33%). anything under 8% lead will likely lead to a hung parliament which means second referendum. The Pound is unusually stronger than expected, pointing to diminishing risk of...

    battery percentage

that's 80% of a full charge. if your battery is completely flat, the voltage across its output pins would be about 31.5V. When it's 100% full, that will be about 41.5V. At 80% full, the voltage is about 39V. Lithium ions move from one electrode to the other when charging and in the opposite...

    Introducing the Woosh Faro

edit: The correct price is £899 with in frame 36V 8AH battery, not £799. Many thanks to Paul A. for pointing that out.

    Vintage bike conversion

One of my customers converted one of those Raleighs, the tyres were 599, so neither 26" nor 700C rims will fit. At then end, he had to use 700C rim (622) and tyre.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

polls show conservatives lead over Labour is now at 11%. 50% of remainers vote for Labour and perhaps more remainers will vote tactically. Con: 42 Labour 31 LD: 14 BXP: 4 It wouldn't surprise me if we end up with the same split like now.

that's probably the reason why Bojo's handlers keep him off TV interviews.

    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

the thing that mystified me a little bit is in this day and age, most accounting, including profit and loss analysis, is done monthly if not weekly on a computer. It's no more demanding than pressing a button. You can't rack up such losses without someone notices.

it's got already full mudguards fitted. only about 5% do. Our bikes have traditionally larger battery capacity than most. the Rambletta costs a bit less than a non electric brompton!

Commuter Bike - Folding Electric Recommendations

thank you for your kind words, the Rambletta have just been loaded, they will be here after Christmas. I'll post details on the website later today. The battery is integrated in the frame, very much like on the Rio, you don't need the key to ride, only to remove the battery. The 36V 12AH is good...

that's to be expected. He did not turn up for interviews and when he does, he gets asked about how many children he has and whether he has ever been truthful about anything. Did anyone watch the TV debate last night on BBC1 in Cardiff?

Commuter Bike - Folding Electric Recommendations

they are just as heavy as a factory built e-folder. The Brompton has an edge over the competition because you can easily remove the bag which contains the battery, making it easier to carry folded. CH5 TV did take my Gallego in London Underground but it's not as easy as the electric Brompton...

    Help fork to long!!

yes, but you should ask a local bike mechanic for their advice, it's not as simple as to cut off the threaded portion and it may not be economical to buy another fork. If you change from threaded to threadless, you'll need a new stem and likely a new headset too. Your picture does not show which...
