don´t know which brand is used in that bike.. but for A123 we can already say from praxis (and not only theorie): 1050 cycles at 10C discharge, 3C charge (more than you will ever have in e-bike use) over 700 cycles sofar and still going at 12C average discharge and peaks in the 30C...

thats maybe the part of reason, why the swiss Flyer is so popular in switzerland and most driven electric bike there defakto the switzerland-people do not say electric bike but they say "flyer" (sometimes even when they mean other bikes) the flyer is there for over 10 years and for that...

for the efficience.... its not the fast speeds were the chain-drive-systems make there points but the slow speeds... a good hubmotor can have a higher efficience than a chain-drive motor which most likely needs gears and than also has to use the gears of the bike as well lets say the...

it would make a little more sense if at least the batteries are out-sourced... it would not make it much more complicated to install the thing.. only one additional wire to the - let say water bottle - were the batteries are mounted (very hidden) controller, and for that a lot of wires...
