    Alfine hub with BBS02?

Taylor Wheels sold me a cheaper wheel, with shipping, than I could find locally. However I did have to have it trued by the LBS after a 100 km or so. In the end it was still better quality/price ratio than in the big blue box store.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There is a tea shortage caused by climate change - lower yield because of higher temperatures. And yes... coffee and cacao are in the same boat...

    Ikea Sladda e-conversion?

It isn't a Gates belt. If you can find the bits go for it. I have looked at the bike up close and I wasn't overwhelmed, nice bike but there are lots of nicer ones.

    Almost on topic battery banter...

Yes I have it, I haven't disposed of it yet. The battery does however have over 800 charge cycles, maybe closer to 1000, on it because it was used every day for more than two years and sometimes charged twice in a day. I was going to test it with my multi-meter but there is no marking on the...

    Alfine hub with BBS02?

I would choose the Nexus 8 which is reported to be stronger but Taylor Wheels don't use the premium version which has the roller bearings for better shifting under load. Yes you can mount a disk brake on a Nexus 8...

    Almost on topic battery banter...

I have mentioned in these pages that I am the happy owner of a Google nexus 7 2013 tablet and that I was having battery issues. In May of last year I bit the bullet and bought a new battery, opened the tablet and replaced it. I thought I was out tof the woods but unfortunately one of the reasons...

Battery upgrade for Cycloctricty Stealth 1000w

I have an excellent new power meter APP on my nexus 7 tablet and even that isn't capable of calculating what I have left in the battery (LiPo 3.8 V, 3950 mAh) despite it being a rather powerful little computer. Using a tablet doesn't involve head winds, hills, road condition... so you can...

    Ikea Sladda e-conversion?

You will have a problem with the belt drive which means front hub motor only.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That was more a wider "you lot" rather than just a tilson "you". Sorry tilson, I should have been more specific but there was no possible confusion as we all know that you, tilson, are a europhile!

Why doesn't Pedelecs do more E-Bike reviews?

Not to mention removing disk brakes and using hydraulic rim brakes (-600 grams)

    Brexit, for once some facts.

One could say that the EU regional development fund is foreign aid coming to disadvantaged regions of the UK (as you seem to consider the EU as foreign...).

Why doesn't Pedelecs do more E-Bike reviews?

Initially I worried a lot about keeping the weight down, my first bike was only 20.5 kg and I know that it is easier to chuck around on the road. Number Two is much heavier (someone nicked the bathroom scales so can't put a number to it) and I have adopted my riding accordingly concentrating on...

    Any good

Lots of Germany is flat and practically all of The Netherlands, they are the people who will fork out 1500€ to kit an existing bike. That is my guess. They seem very keen to sell you several batteries so I guess the margin is more comfortable on a teeny battery that is not of much use out of the...

    Single Chain Ring

What size is your large cog? With a motor you can add 4 teeth to it in most cases. That makes it interesting to keep two chainwheels on the front with a smaller one for really steep hills. I would say for a 26" wheel bike a 48-38 or 48-36 on the front is a good choice for a strong rider and...

    Any good

I love their Bluetooth switch for the handlebars. I wish some Chinese guy would get that idea too and make a controller with one. Cheaper solution: HL battery with integrated Bluetooth controller (rumour has it one exists...) and a rear wheel hub motor. When you want to ride a normal bike you...

Removing the limit from your LEVO

They have the service software, the same software the Specialized mechanic has. The Specialized mechanic will not remove the limit even if you bribe him, he needs his job. I think SW is being optimistic on speed gain tbh... :)

    Single Chain Ring

Our posts crossed: to relieve strain on the chain you should really change down to the second cog when you need to use bottom gear.
