    Brexit, for once some facts.

BJ was openly endorsed by 85 MPs and got 114. Stewart got endorsed by 6 and got 18, beating Leadsom, McVey and Harper who had more endorsements. He is way behind BJ but has the momentum.

recent polls put Stewart just behind BJ in Mr popular contest. The difference with BJ is, if BJ succeeds TM, the next GE will be sooner than if Stewart becomes PM.

Javid and Stewart are through to the next round. Johnson 114 - he can still theoretically be beaten. Gove and Hunt are neck and neck, 43 votes.

    Hello from sunny Wales .....

Look on the invoice. If your supplier charges you VAT, then you don't have to declare anything, goods are freely circulated within the EU. If your supplier does not charge you VAT, you will need the import VATcertificate (form C79) to show that you've paid the import VAT. For more information...

I find the worrying prospect is Trumpism: you can do and say anything if you can get away with it. As seen mainly in the right wing press and 7 out of the 10 PM candidates. BTW, I'd like to see Javid and Stewart in the next round.

not all the people, just 313 conservative MPs and possibly about 100,000 conservative membership. For the rest of us, GE is the time we'll give our verdict.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

it has always been the case that opposition parties will try to stop brexit and they have so far succeeded in at least delaying the process. TM is just an unlucky PM, she stood still in the middle of the road where two juggernauts are heading in opposite directions.

the one May signed. If JC sits in No 10, there is no reason not to ratify. The new government has until end of 2020 to decide how close to the EU we'll stay or even rejoin.

any new government can simply ask parliament to ratify the withdrawal agreement within days. Things will get back to normal henceforth.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

we can't leave without parliament enacting brexit legislation for domestic law, first of all, the 2018 EU Withdrawal Act. That was the reason why we could not leave last March. If we crash out as you said on the 31st October, the government will be in limbo until fresh GE. As flecc explained, BJ...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the fight has always been between brexit and remain and the longer we delay brexit, the more likely brexit will be cancelled. Brexiters have to force leaving before the next GE. If we haven't left by the next GE, we won't leave.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

if we crash out, parliament will force a new GE and a new government will be likely to be much more moderate and negotiate on the basis of May's deal.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No deal brexit won't pass the HoC at the moment. BJ knows that. The motion that was defeated today is meant to stop parliament to be suspended in the week running up to 31st October. If BJ suspends parliament in the week running up to 31st October, parliament will freeze his government...

    Hello

you should post some pictures of your bike. Broadly speaking, you have: - three types of motors: direct drive, geared hub and crank drive. Leave the direct drives alone, they are high power and heavy, not suitable for road legal use in the UK. Geared hub and crank drive motors are very similar...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

wait a week then check the poll again. BJ's brexit plan is nigh impossible. He's already backpedalled on increasing the 40% tax threshold. Although I agree that the threshold is too low for people who live and work in London, but increasing the threshold to £80 is rubbish. Better to introduce a...

BTW, Danish election result last week saw the Social Democrats won 91 of the 179 seats in parliament. Their leader, Mette Frederiksen, age 41, found popularity on immigration. Her view includes confiscating assets of immigrants to pay for their support and welfare.

our share of net assets is worth about £7 billions, already factored into the £39 billions which by the way, covers membership fees until the end of the accounting period (Dec 2020). If we leave without a deal, our minimum exposure is about £10 billions net. The rest is disputable. I reckon we'd...
