    Oh thanks for clearing that up .... well I come from the ride it /drive it like I stole it school .. and only wash it when I sell it ... life is far too short IMHO...I do however hoover out the dog hair when I have taken our Pups out for a drive in me truck

    The ability to run two sets of tires winter or summer on road or off road is a good reason to up-grade to a bottom bracket mounted motor ...not really possible on my rear hub motor ....mmmm

    Thanks for the response ....I think batteries and inverter is the way to go ...up here in the mountains having an off grid 240 volt supply could also get used for other stuff ,in a not infrequent power outage ......

    Yeah that helps ...this ebike stuff took me a bit of getting the hang of , on hills if the pedal sensor cuts the power at the wrong moment...

    Oh right , so if it's not plugged in to the control unit , there is no power to it, so I guess no problem doing what you are thinking ...Just a question what did you not like about it ? I just gently touch the brake lever to cut power when gear changing on my self build eMTB...

    Yeah what I don't get is , it was clearly a rotten tree see the cloud of wood dust as it hit the deck , so very little useful timber , he went up the tree to de-limb it, so why not as you climb down take off a metre at a time until you are left with the stumpy trunk of three or four metres...

    Some very nice looking bikes on here ...this is my conversion ...It's basic and very low cost 600 euros including the 2005 rockhopper ...only done 90k so far maybe upgrade next years to an off the peg eMTB.. .
