It looks like a 104BCD chainring from the photo. If the GSM chain line is anything to go by (it is a clone of the BBS) it isn't too bad, not perfect but not way off whack. This will of course vary with each and every bike. The adapters tend to improve the chain line slightly by bringing the...

The Chinese ones don't have very good press which is why you have CNC shops making them in the USA, New Zealand and this company here in France.

    Bike theif Car spotters needed

If you were in living Corsica or the south of Italy nobody would have seen a thing  Or in England where people do tend to turn their backs so as "to not get into any bother". Which is why I also got the plugin chain to attach it to street furniture or I put it through the front wheel.

http://precialps.com/uk/3-mid-drive-parts I am humming and ha-ing between the 104BCD adaptor and a Shimano 44 tooth chainring with the possibility of opting in the future for a 48-38 setup and their 42 tooth chainring. I may just buy both.

BBS01 error code 30 what now?

I am on the Dark Side of the Force... All I care about is when the battery gets close to 36.5 V. Then it is time to turn it off and plug in the "get home" battery or start pedaling without assistance. I really need nothing on the handlebars. I don't care how fast I am going the Watts I am...

BBS01 error code 30 what now?

I don't need those on the bars, already plugged into the battery and recording max Watts and Amps. And Wh used to boot.

BBS01 error code 30 what now?

I want a switch like the one that comes with the new Italian motor: - on/off button - assistance up/down buttons - assistance level LED - battery voltage reading (ex. 12.34 V) - lights on/off switch - motor kill switch - odometer with total distance (EN 15194 requirement) As compact as...

    Help. Bike Stolen

Phil the most important is that they didn't knock you off it to steal it! You are OK and your bike can be replaced. I am living on my nerves at the moment because the first floor apartment is being decorated and the stairway door is wide open all day with my bike visible from the street...

New GSM kit fitted but will not kick in on hills ?

I think the issue is that this motor draws max amps for longish periods of time and Li-Ion batteries don't like that. Or maybe it ramps up faster than the cells can handle. In any case my Li-Ion battery doesn't like it on the hills. Despite ciclotek saying my 10.4 Ah battery is capable of 2C...

Yes I agree d8veh, my complaint is with the forum programmers: if you can't do search right either use Google site search or use someone's search module that just works.

    Join the queue

It is called "marketing". Get the customer in the shop with a potential discount offer and sell her something else full price. Old as the first publicity flyers handed out on the street corner.

Sorry to be so negative but this forum software has probably one of the worst search functions I have ever come across! Almost as bad as some of the worst versions of the PHPBB search function and that is saying a lot. I used to work for a lady who developed an in house CMS and who rewrote parts...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Motorway speed limit in France 130 km/h, in Spain 120 km/h, Germany still has a few sections without a limit. There you go an example of the nasty EU forcing its standards on everyone... Seeing the state of UK roads I think 70 mph is a very reasonable limit! Just what has the EU done to make...

    Is this e-bike more.....

Everybody is thinking like me, trash the stupid 1 kW direct drive motor and fit a BBSHD with 52 V battery? If you are going to do a café racer make it at least be able to race on the hills!

My Bike is the Most Efficient

Now there is a new invention to patent: "object serving to make a cup of tea while you ride" :D Or "water cooling mechanism for e-bike battery". Soon all those integrated down tube batteries will need external cooling fins, that will play havoc with your Cx ratio!

My Bike is the Most Efficient

I haven't got a cell thermometer but I have touched my battery after a hard climb: - The motor was hot, not burn your fingers hot but definitely beyond comfortably warm, I would have guessed 50-60°C (reminder get self an IR thermometer) - The battery was not even slightly warm Drawing 15 Amps...

    A new cargo bike

To be shown in all schools in Australia! :) There is a Danish company that makes a rickshaw clone on the base of a cargo bike so your reply was my interpretation of what is allowed here. It is the ideal vehicle for Thursday night Basque bar crawls  It won't even fall over on its own...
