    Torque

yes, but torque varies with speed, highest when the bike is near stalling and drops with speed. A 2kw motor will give a practical speed range up to about 33mph on flat roads if your battery is up to it.

    Torque

if your battery can support the whole 40A out of the controller, 21 mph top speed going up that 12% hill at 62NM on 700C wheels. You do need a very good battery though. edit: 21kph, 13mph

I just came back after a New Year reveillon drink with a few old friends in Paris. We talked for a few minutes about brexit. The French is just as fed up with the EU as us in the UK, it's L'Europe du fric jusqu'à l'écoeurement.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't think it's a waste, contributors on this thread must have spent a fair bit of time looking for facts to support their point of view so I suppose they all value facts even when they don't support one's point of view.

My threshold of tolerance must be above average! I do like Michael Portillo on This Week. Also like Alan Johnson.

I can't imagine you would vote for Tony Blair if he was a candidate in your constituency. Both Labour and Conservative parties have positive discrimination policy to redress the imbalance in representation. It is a crude method but it is better than no action at all. BTW, Diane Abbott is well...

what is the percentage of signatories against the 17.4 millions who voted for leave last time? 1.6%. The percentage of those petitioners equals to 0.4% of those elligible to vote. and you forgot the popular demonstrations for remain.

E-bikes are advancing fast - get the newest model of the best bike you can afford

I would have thought the best strategy is to buy a new bike every 3 years. You'll get a balance of low depreciation and still take full advantage of advances.

you seem to justify JC's stance. the best for the country is for TM and JC to make a deal. In return for JC supporting her deal, we''ll get fresh GE after brexit. Corbyn needs to win about 20-25 more seats from the conservatives.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Nobody really believes in no deal. It's just a propaganda tool to stiffen the resolve of brexiters. Even JRM is willing to pay half the estimated bill. if TM was serious about preparing for no deal, part of Kent along the M20 would have been concreted by now. What the hard brexiters really want...

there is no need for more ferries. Our government just tries to make hard brexit preparation to look like silly spending.

it's nothing like a suicide pack. It's a choice that many Britons want to make, the referendum is just one moment in time, it could have been next year instead of 2016. Of course the UK can rejoin the EU in time when opinion changes again.

that's their job, to deal with consequences of international treaties that we signed and make sure that brexit is orderly.

    Sunstar SO3 opinions

Hi Climo, You are right, sorry for the delay in responding. I was travelling yesterday. You should also take the average load of 100kgs into consideration, more load, less speed. I agree with anotherkiwi when he said you could buy a couple of different sizes and do the real world test.

A bigger ring means more stress. in a year time, I should be able to answer that question with confidence. It's still early days for us regarding the TSDZ2. Nothing has been reported broken, I have asked Tongsheng to push the motor as far as they are confident, they already warned me that...

from memory, the GSM and Bafang BBS01 have a spindle about 12mm in diameter, the Tongsheng spindle is about 10mm in diameter, it looks more fragile in any case in comparison. The other difference is that the Tongsheng spins at 4,000 RPM max, the GSM and BBS01 spins at 2000RPM. That's why I am...
