agreed. Even if your suppliers set up assembly in the EU, they can't avoid altogether ADD, their EU prices will be higher than previously, wiping out the 15% or so pricing advantage of imported Chinese bikes. Until we know how much it is, none of us can continue placing new orders in case the EU...

let's say you work on an active anti-collision system. Each vehicule in the system would be fitted with a transponder. Each will report its GPS coordinate (in WGS format) when interrogated. That would make your programmer's life a lot easier wouldn't it?

Oxygen vs Whoosh for 50miles a day commute

for 50 mile round trip: Woosh Karoo with 13AH or 17AH battery. The Karoo is light, fitted with rigid fork and narrow road tyres can do 50 miles with the 13AH battery. The 17AH battery would do 70+ miles. Woosh Big Bear with 15AH: if you weigh more than 15st, the Big Bear is a good choice...

that's surely the job for the programmers. What would an ordinary person do with a set of time codes? if you are interested in geodetic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Geodetic_System

    £1000 ride2work

all scheme providers charge the retailers a commission for their vouchers. Some as little as 5%, some as much as 15%. Most vendors are forced to pass that commission to the customers. If you have for example a cyclescheme.co.uk voucher, it's worth £850 to the retailers. You can top up the...

let's take an example. Our man tag a door for a drone to blow up. The tag sends its coordinates to the drone. Both drone and tag do not need maps, they use the same reference latitude, longitude, altitude. The new satellites will help maps to be more accurate.

agreed. I was annoyed today by David's suggestion that many of us simply sit back and do nothing. If you sit back, it's because you are planning to get out. If you want to fight for your future, I doubt you have much free time to fight Brussels as well.

    Magura Throttle

just a suggestion: de-solder the potentiometer and check it with a multitester. The highest resistance between two pins gives you the value of the potentiometer. The voltage for signalling is usually 5V, you can deduce the power rating of the pot.

    Problem with PAS sensor

It's best if you could wait for Andy to respond tomorrow. It could be that the new pedal sensor is matched with the new controller - Lishui do not have a standardised way with connectors and colours. Many thanks for being patient.

    Problem with PAS sensor

Dave, Don't plug the new pedal sensor in. Basically, the one you have is for a different controller. We always leave everything plugged in when we send the kit out. When a customer wants something changed, we need to have a picture of what the customer has to be sure of the replacement part...

you sell to the shops and compete with the Bosches, I don't. If ADD is less than 15%, I'll put my prices up by the same amount. If ADD is more than 15%, I simply sell more kits and less bikes.

David, there is a silverlining in most if not every cloud. My duty is to protect the jobs of those who work for Woosh. Ever since the ADD business, I have been consciously looking to: a) sell kits b) dry run assembly That's to me the sensible tactic. I am not interested in corporate meetings...
