    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'll be dead and gone before the EU is changed. Look at Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, ROI. All are members of the Eurozone. All have signed up to the 3% straight-jacket stability pact. All are too weak to cope with that envelope. Result: they have to tighten their belt and guess what, when...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the problem as I see it with the EU is that the rich reaps more benefit than the poor. Brexit won't necessarily change that, but look at the way the rich can invest in a low tax economy, live in somewhere with nice weather, plenty of space, cheap food, good wines and no queue at the doctors etc...

    BLDC Hub Disassembly

Clamp the motor spindle as shown, remove all nuts, clips, washers from the top above the ballbearing, then pull up the shell. The outside of the top ballbearing may get a bit stuck to the motor shell. Rocking the shell from side to side a little at the beginning may help.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Peter Oborne said this in his article: Italian banks have been supported by the ECB for years. Any talk of leaving the Eurozone will lead to a banking crisis and a flight of FDI. That's the last thing you'd want to improve unemployment figures, young and old. That was just magical thinking.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

it was rumoured that DD proposed a '10 mile trade zone' between NI and the ROI. This is the set of equations that the cabinet has adopted some time ago. No border for goods and people: - between NI and ROI, - between NI and UK, - between ROI and the remaining 26 countries of the EU That set...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the wider problem is direct investments into the UK have dried up since the referendum. The simple truth is we don't produce enough to have a healthy trade balance and with an ageing population, it can only get worse. Time to wake up if anyone thinks we are still a rich country.

    Stratospheric prices

you make an interesting point. I know they are still available. The problem is the running costs relentlessly go up year after year. If we continued selling the Santana, the lower exchange rate would force us to price it at £699. We moved the components up a notch, 13AH battery instead of 10AH...

    BLDC Hub Disassembly

the motor core is held by magnetic force - you only need a good bench vice to hold the motor core by its spindle, then push the shell off with brute force. As soon as the core moves, the magnetic force breaks so be careful.

Why a Bafang BBSxx programming cable is a worthy investment!

it shouldn't be a problem, existing 32-bit code runs under Windows on Windows (WoW64 dlls), the layer that emulates 32-bit environment.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Clearly, there is no need to rush into brexit. Voters have until the next GE to finally decide on the next step. TM wants to kick the can down the road, pretending to negotiate but there is really nothing to negotiate. Hard brexit is prohibitively expensive for the current conservative...

My review of the Dillenger Opia 2.0 - and why to avoid Dillenger at all costs

the 12 gauge spokes are used on fat bikes, not on small 20" folders. Trust me on this, I sell both types. If you don't believe me, check the diameter of your spokes with a caliper.

My review of the Dillenger Opia 2.0 - and why to avoid Dillenger at all costs

your spoke key is not good enough. Use one in my previous post. A 12 gauge slot on a 13 gauge spoke will mark and round the nipples. Once its nipple is rounded, you'll have to cut it off and replace, so make sure the key fits the nipples snugly. BTW, when you tighten your spokes, do not over...

13 gauge is 2.2mm in diameter. Chinese 20" e-bike wheels are usually fitted with 13 gauge spokes. http://dillengerelectricbikes.co.uk/spares/wheels/spokes/13-gauge-spokes-from-135mm-to-253mm-in-length.html For your bike: 13G 135mm 250W/350W 20"

My review of the Dillenger Opia 2.0 - and why to avoid Dillenger at all costs

damage to spokes and rims can be just your bad luck for example hitting a kerb or a large pothole. Check all the other spokes, if some of them are loose, then you can use that to argue that the wheels were not properly prepared. If you are not experienced with bike maintenance, ask a friendly...

My review of the Dillenger Opia 2.0 - and why to avoid Dillenger at all costs

the spokes are not the problem, just don't let them getting loose. Next time you have a broken spoke, remove it and tighten up any other loose spokes before continuing. Get the wheel sorted as soon as you can afterward. Spend £2 on a 13 gauge spoke key...
