    Brexit, for once some facts.

this time, the row was about DT's racist language, not the substance of what he said about immigration. There is some parallel with the brexit debate.

BJ's comment illustrates why so many Americans agree with Mr Trump. He is seen (by many) as telling unpleasant things as they are. I am not making excuses for Mr Trump's racist comments though.

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

I suspect that there is an element of 'pride and joy' in the purchase of these more expensive bikes. People tend to keep them longer, ride fewer miles, pay for shop maintenance etc. They all add up for a ...em.. longer satisfaction.

that would depend on the question or questions put in front of the voters. If you repeat the same old question, then instead of 52/48, you may get 48/52, what then? The logical solution would be a new GE where parties will have to set their store by not just that old question but also how they...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

after Farage having second thoughts, Aaron Banks added his support for second referendum: "If we do not act radically now, we will sleepwalk into a faux Brexit, in name only. True Brexiteers have been backed into a corner and the only option now is to go back to the polls and let the people...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You forget to look at the valuable lesson since the vote. The cost of reducing EU migration (84,000 one year after the referendum) is clear for everyone to see. We'll learn the value of immigration from that.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

hang on a minute: Nigel Farage has said it may be time to hold a second referendum on Brexit. “So maybe – just maybe – I’m reaching the point of thinking that we should have a second referendum on EU membership.”...

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

from page 117, the book detailed the saga of EBMA complaint that led to the introduction of ADD on Chinese bikes. The data is in tables, not easy to copy and paste here. It's fascinating although may be boring to read. You can read that section online here...

yes, you can read all about it in this book: http://eprints.lse.ac.uk/30817/ Imports from China continued to increase during and after the investigation period, back in 1983 then when anti-dumping duty was increased to 48.5%. There is no way EU producers can compete on price, that what the...

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

This chart comes from CONEBI: The anti-dumping saga initiated by EBMA back in the early 1980s still runs and runs. The fact is simple: China exports more and more bicylces into the EU despite anti-dumping and circumvention.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

that's just speculation. It's a lose lose situation. The EU would pay more in import duty and suffer delays in the divorce bill settlement if there is no deal. The transition period will satisfy honor for both sides. At the end of that period, common sense will return. The UK will get most of...

I thought you may be interested to know that we imported one lot this week as parts for assembling in Southend. The average duty on the lot is about 4.5% instead of 6% but we ot hit for anti-dumping duty on the crankset and gearset (HS code 8714963090), bringing the average duty back up to 5%.

most of that money does not go to the needy though, but used to market British foreign policy. It's a bit like the EU contribution, a lot of smoke and mirrors. only 16% of that budget goes to humanitarian aid. https://fullfact.org/economy/uk-spending-foreign-aid/
