I have watched Diane Abbot on numerous occasions and numerous subjects (not just maths) and I have come to the conclusion that she is as thick as mince.

The dream that zero hours contracts work for both the employers and employees is just rubbish...If their is no work at the local carrot farm they get sent home, Can you imagine if all the workforce said "I'm not available for the next 2 weeks"(perfectly entitled to do this on zero hours...

I I agree but find it very hard to defend Diane Abbott.....She is a liability but I'm not worried, If Labour get in power she wouldn't last long before she said something stupid and had to "go on leave" due to illness.

A lot of people on minimum wage are claiming in work benefits so we are already subsidising them and the firms they work for.

It's the same as standing at the pit/dockyard gates and waiting for a days work. Some of the workers local to me get texts on their phones the night before. It must be awful to have to live like that. I'm thinking you don't really need the money.

If you leave school at sixteen you have to go into full time education or an apprenticeship or traineeship. Apprenticeships have always been exempt from the minimum wage. I don't think £10 an hour for an 18 year old is unreasonable. You could be working night shift at 18...

Did you read the article? They were having talks to field a joint candidate so as not to split the vote and these talks broke down...….How is that fake news ?
