    Brexit, for once some facts.

I got a dislike from robdon for saying something similar in post #363318 The truth hurts sometimes.

Oldtom may put you in his dislike list for criticizing Mr Corbyn.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You only have to ask Mr Corbyn why he agrees with David Davis. He can move his MPs to oppose it if he wants to.

    Which bike to buy?

minime, read wordy's thread about the Oxygen http://pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/oxygen-setting-help.27109/ That bike has a Bafang SWX02 motor and I think a 15A controller. Wordy derestricted it, got a buckled wheel in an afternoon and said afterward: Are you sure you need 1,500W motor and a...

    Which bike to buy?

Geared hubs usually have 5:1 reduction on 500W motors. At 335 RPM for his 26" wheels, the clutch unit will wear out too quickly.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You don't have a couple of years if Mrs May and IDS' gang controls our parliament. If they call the new election before labour is ready to govern, they'll replace a hundred plus labour MPs with tories. Mr Corbyn knows it but he is not budging.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Corbyn & Who? his troskyist mates? They are not bothered about governing. There is unlikely any backlash in case of no deal. The tory media will simply claim that the EU wants to punish us and we are not going to let them.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

a small cohort of tory MPs. Mrs May, her 3 brexiteers and IDS' gang. As David Davis said, they have already got 'plans' for all sort of contingencies including no deal. Did you hear what Anna Soubry said this morning? Nothing will delight them more than we fall out of the EU asap and without a...

    Which bike to buy?

Range is proportional to battery capacity. You pay for capacity. If both bikes cost the same, fitted with the same battery then I would buy the one with stronger motor. BBS02 are available in two versions, the price is the same. 48V BBS02 can hit 30mph, 36V BBS02 can hit 25mph. We stopped...

    Which bike to buy?

Yes, better acceleration, albeit a geared hub like a BPM will wipe the floor of the 1500W motor in the first couple of seconds. One of my customers owns a similar 1,500W kit. After two years, it ripped his fork off one day. He got the bike repaired and run a BBS02 48V kit that we sold him last...

    Which bike to buy?

yes, the advantage of a 1,500W over a 1,000W is the extra 500W on tap, should you want to use it. That's why I wanted to know how much would you value the additional power.

    Which bike to buy?

that's the question I'd like to ask you. Jim @ Woosh has a 1,500W motor on his bike, he loves it and I don't. I ride the new Zephyr 2017 around town. Just to say we like different things.

    Which bike to buy?

No, battery consumption is essentially a function of speed. You can have a bike capable of 30mph, ride it at 15mph and use less battery than me because you can put in a few more Watts than me. Some bikes have thin tyres and solid fork (like the Woosh Karoo), they are particularly efficient on...

    Which bike to buy?

Thank you for the view. I was looking for a figure, like £300 for the capability to go 5mph higher. I am not suggesting a choice between the two because I have seen neither. For 25 mph, both your choices are good and indeed any bike fitted with 20+A controller can potentially do that, including...

    Which bike to buy?

minime, would you answer this question for me? Now you know you need 600+Watts to hit 25mph, 1,200+Watts to hit 30mph and that the same 30mph kit can be used at lower speed for better range. How much money would put you off going from 25mph to 30mph? In other words, what would be your ball park...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Mr Corbyn does not have a deadline of March, does not have to stop the bill, he has only to hold it up long enough, making sure that Mrs May jumps through hoops. He may still do that tomorrow. His action so far leads to parliament's loss of control to Mrs May.

oldtom, you have nothing better to post than insults?
  18. Woosh

    Brexit, for once some facts.

If Mr Corbyn decided to vote down the bill until Mrs May backs down on the amendments, parliament would function far better and can properly hold government to account. But he doesn't. Can you explain why? With Mr Corbyn's support for the bill, Mrs May runs rings around parliament.

The tories. Blame Mr Corbyn for the state we are in.

    Which bike to buy?

    You won't get 60 miles at 50mph. You'll get about 15 miles at 30 mph, 33 miles at 25mph, 60 miles at 15mph.
