He is responsible for leading the opposition. That's what we paid him to do. Do you now rubbish those who sit on the fence?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yes, because we share the same budget and parliament. No. Freedom of movement is a long term target when the world will eventually become one. The benefits to the young are not going to be affected by brexit as much as you make them out to be. Nothing stops them learning to be fluent in...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Tom, the value of the Pound is not as important as its steadiness, trust me. Parliament can't function without an effective opposition. Mr Corbyn is paid the same salary as the PM - his performance is deplorable.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Let's be brutally frank about the downside of freedom of movement. It is a Thatcherite economic model, it benefits the industrialists by passing the cost of factory closures to other local authorities while supplying cheaper labour to the least regulated industrial countries like the UK. Why...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The mess is so very short term. We are at a point where parliament is back in control. And the Pound is steady. If you are looking for someone to blame, how about Mr Corbyn?

You surely don't need me to spell out after nearly 10,000 posts on this thread alone?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

    Sometime I do wonder.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Maybe but most labour voters still treat the smaller parties as a joke while they should really look for opportunities to keep the tories out. Would we see one day a grand coalition, German style?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, far from it. Brexit can be the best thing that happens to UK politics. 1. greater participation: large section of our voters fell asleep while relying on the EU to challenge our UK government 2. move toward a plural, consensual politics

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Tom, the links of those policies to the EU are there if you bother to give me a little bit of consideration before posting your reply. The EU, or more precisely, the single market, is the Thatcherite idea of the EEC. The tories pushed for it and expanded it Eastward. It has succeeded beyond...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

let's make a case for brexit by pointing out that the EU will work well with consensus politics, like in Germany and nordic countries, and not with two party systems like the one in the UK. The single market favours globalization, to the detriment of poorer people who get pushed into personal debts.

You could also ask remainers similarly difficult questions, like why have successive governments pushed so many poorer people into personal debts, why they have not solved youth unemployment and why they sold council houses.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

oldtom, brexit is not Mr Trump's politics. The idea that brexit will move the world nearer to global disaster is not even intuitive to say the least. I am not trying to convert you because I believe in the benefits of staying in the EU myself, I only want you to stop labeling half of the UK...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think brexit is less favourable but viable nevertheless. There is nothing to stop us picking and choosing the areas that we want to continue as before, security, foreign policy, CAP and the environment, medecine, university, research, space etc, we continue to pay in and share the same...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

brexit is much more a rejection of Mrs Thatcher's common market view of the EU than a result of UKIP's narrow viewpoint. Mrs Thatcher and the following UK governments continued to expand the single market, benefiting the 'elites' to the detriment of others. While other members, notably Germany...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Oldtom, Why would anyone wish to leave? Because they don't want what the EU has to offer. You look for a complex answer that isn't there. I voted to remain and I have not changed my mind but I am nowhere as negative on brexit as you are. If our parliament makes a mistake, they will have to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Oldtom, Brexit represents change. Looking for something better than now is bound to be difficult to prove because there is no precedent. Brexit voters do not place the same value on some of the things you consider positive and we should enjoy, eg freedom of moving to another country, be treated...

Thank you danidl for explaining. I meant exactly that. Inunell, I wish you well in your endeavour too. I know how hard it is to get a project off the ground, you don't need doom merchants like me to make it more difficult. I concur with Daniel, there are a lot of technical people here on the...

whichever way you monitor the charging process, the charge current goes one way, so it's the same way for all chargers. You can't charge your Bosch battery faster. If the charging current exceeds 0.2C (eg 3A for a 500W battery), the BMS has to have sensing circuit to protect the cells. The...

Help us build a better Ebike battery

I suspect manufacturers locking down their battery to stop customers overloading their components. There are already plenty of Lithium ion charger chips, like the TI-bq-25871/25872 with 1MHz I2C sensing. In what way your system is better than those chips?
