I can't say, but Sainsbury's here have McVitie chocolate hobnobs on special offers at the moment, we are not grumbling. Inflation will climb quickly to 3% by July I reckon.

    Sondors Review

I think that price does not include freight, duty and VAT. The end user price would be around £750. For a little more, you could have the Woosh Rio FB in early March. I think the Rio is better specced. If you have any question, just ask.

Battery upgrade for Cycloctricty Stealth 1000w

If someone could devise a trial scheme for commuters, Woosh will certainly support it. Lending demo bikes for a day or low cost a week rental is not a problem for suppliers like ourselves, we can always refund the rental if it leads to a sale. The transportation cost is prohibitive if the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The 3% is an average. Some prices will come down while prices of bikes will get the full hit of the weaker Pound. The Pound got hit about 6 months ago, so we paid roughly £45 billions more for our imported goods in that time. £45b / 2 * £1,950 billions, that's 2.2% of GDP over two years (it...

True enough. WEF17 pretends to understand but does not have any answer to Mr Trump's politics.

for commuting, geared hub motors are cheaper to buy and have lower running / maintenance cost. If you need to climb steep hills, get a large hub like a Bafang BPM.

Just talked with my daughter, back from WEF17, quite depressed about the state of the world at the moment. bbc newsnight has made this video:

I would say not as much as that, may be 5 more minutes. Select assist mode 0, that will let you use the bike in throttle mode. That mode will let the throttle push the bike efficiently to 16mph legally. Then your legs can hit much higher speed as the road allows without the motor drag while...

Battery upgrade for Cycloctricty Stealth 1000w

In his earlier posts, he said he rides at arounnd 17-20mph. You can extrapolate that he pulls about 400W from his battery, or 8.3A, 8.3A * 0.3 Ohms internal resistance for this type of battery = 2.5V voltage sag. That means that he can't really use the last 25% reserve at that sort of speed...

Is 48-volt the new standard for 2017?

I think there are advantages in fitting the Bafang Max Drive with a 48V battery but that's about it (the 48V Max Drive is actually designed as a higher power motor than the 36V), there is no benefit in using 48V on hub drive bikes.

    Ikea Sladda e-conversion?

It is relatively easy for suppliers like ourselves to supply an inexpensive bottom bracket solution for belt drive bikes if the market is large enough.

yes, some do. We import about £600 billions, 15% of that is £90 billions. Our GDP is £1,950 billions. That's 4.5%, add the base inflation, spread it out over two years for the whole import cost increase to take effect, you get to about 3% for 2017 and 2018. By the time brexit happens, the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

A trade deal with the USA will politically be beneficial but not comprehensive to start with. Our environmental protection standard is higher. The US legal framework is somewhat stricter, before a trade deal can be reached, the two countries need to have their ways of working to converge...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Before we rush into criticizing the bankers, we should perhaps start with Mrs Thatcher's Big Bang in 1983. I had a few friends working in London City then, they spent many weekends explaining to me how Big Bang changed the way they worked. We should also criticize Gordon Brown for putting us...

I am not criticizing the NHS, only wishing it is better funded. I am currently on waiting list for a minor op. Having spent recently a week in hospital, I could see the effect of cuts for myself.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I am not sure you will. We spend more on pension (£157 billions) than on healthcare (£139 billions) this year. That is roughly 7.1% of our GDP (£1,943 billions). We rank roughly 15th in the EU28 on healthcare spending. Germany for example spends 11.3% of their GDP on healthcare. When we say the...
