Don't you mean pedaling harder on level one? Should increase in air resistance more than eat away increase in motor yield?

then you should consider doing it! none of our bikes have 10AH now, minimum battery capacity is 13AH (minimum 11.6AH for in-frame batteries).

Battery upgrade for Cycloctricty Stealth 1000w

yes, but you have to reduce the current draw to avoid low voltage cutout. That means go slow. The last 15%-20% will almost be unusable on a high current controller.

Morning David, I did not say that dealers would dislike upgrades and improvements. I said, frequent mid season revisions risk upsetting dealers. For example what would a dealer think if you decide to upgrade some of your 10AH batteries to 13AH batteries or change the specs of your motors to...

Battery upgrade for Cycloctricty Stealth 1000w

Hi Andy, Your battery is OK. The range of battery voltage is 10V (from full to empty), you use roughly 53% of your 12AH capacity for 15 miles, 19.3WH per mile. That's normal for a direct drive motor. It is unpleasant to ride on a more than half empty battery when you may be pressed for time...

Thank you D8ve for your kind words of encouragement. What happens is that we have chosen right at the beginning to invest into making better bikes, slowly. Baby steps like. We can only do that by having frequent revisions. We keep everything in the same place, within the same team, in Southend...

I am extrapolating RobF's posts here, and apologize in advance if I have barked up the wrong tree. I think RobF infers that Chinese bikes are not as good as 'Bosch' bikes for the OP's objective: commuting to work 7 miles away. I think the opposite is true. Bosch bikes are great bikes, but how do...

I did not say you can't ride your bike in heavy rain but please wipe it dry when you get home. Waterproofing has improved a great deal over the last few years. All the plugs have double water ring barriers, controllers and cell-packs are now completely filled with silicone etc. far better than...

Not. Woosh have a relatively large range to suit all pockets. Evidently, there are differences in the components depending on the chosen bikes. By and large, rain water is the enemy of all electrics, so as long as you keep your bike dry, faults are quite rare now.

it's only because the vendor is willing to accept it. The value of the computer record that says your balance is x, is what you believe it's worth.

I consider them as 'banks'. They hold the money and don't produce anything themselves.

Cell prices vary. You can find Chinese packs (soft pouch cells) around $400 for 48V 20AH without casing.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I predict that when we do, it will be to confirm the current arrangements we have in the single market. I believe that trade takes a long time to develop, having more control won't shorten that much.

Going to Lipo, you only save the cost of a BMS, worth about $20.
