Let's hope so,because the reason we are currently very busy with the EU is the strength of the Euro v £. Shemozzle....do you know what form the trading will take on March 30? KudosDave

I found it,the definition of regularity alignment and from the most trusted source, namely David Davis..... The DUP did not like what was proposed on "regulatory alignment", but Brexit Secretary David Davis suggests that the concept will still be key to making progress. "Regulatory alignment"...

I have searched regulatory alignment, regulatory divergence and the new one regulatory convergence and nobody seems to define exactly what they mean or even the differences between them....sorry if I sound a snob here but I just done think that Fred and Joe over a pint in Huddersfield...

My wife has always been of the opinion that Brexit wont happen, frustratingly she is often right. I thought initially that it wouldnt happen but momentum and the fact that big agencies and banks seemed to be making provisions to move elsewhere started to make me think that we either crash out or...

I still dont understand what regulatory alignment means, last week it was regulatory divergence, now I am told May will have a new name, cant remember what that is? But what do they mean??? Anna Soubry and the EU seems to like them,Boris and Rees-Mogg dont like them,so I think it is near to soft...

What is the cost of a no deal Brexit? Davis's dept was meant to give us that info in these reports, was he lazy or incompetent or both? He seems an expert at filibustering. KudosDave

The only reason why Davis escaped censure by the house was that the Brexit committee is heavily weighted with Brexiters, they voted fully to keep their own man, otherwise they knew that if Davis had to resign it would set back hard Brexit.....if the vote was in parliament I think he would have had...

Old Tom....as Danidl has posted,I only meant that the structure of a hard border already exists at Gibraltar but it doesn't exist in Ireland. I made no comment as to any change is status on either side of the Gibraltar border. KudosDave

I was surprised that Davis,to placate Foster, said that regulatory alignment applied to the whole of the U.K. I wasn't sure whether that was intentional or a mistake. Well now Boris Johnson and some leading Tories have said that they are not happy with this deal, they see it as soft Brexit...

Gibraltar seemed quite keen on regulatory alignment. However there is already a hard border,in fact very hard between Spain (the EU) and Gibraltar,so the border problem does not exist. KudosDave

Destroying the nation to preserve their power....that headline would appear to be the effect and end game intended by the 35 Tory hard right wingers (Bone,Rees-Mogg,IDS) KudosDave

Is Davis in charge of the department that should have prepared these reports?? He seemed to me in the house yesterday and in the committee meeting today almost couldn't care less and fed up with the whole Brexit project....his admission yesterday that regulatory alignment applied to the whole UK...

At least 'spread sheet Phil' will have done his homework.... Q: Has the cabinet discussed the end state, where the UK wants to get to after Brexit? Hammond says there have been discussions about Brexit, but not a specific one about the end state. He says the first discussion will come in a...

From the BBC analysis of David Davis at the meeting..... David Davis has probably not done the Brexit cause a huge bundle of good this morning. First, his frank admission that no impact assessments have been completed will inevitably be seized on by critics to argue Team May simply haven't done...

Davis has got away with his waffling before,I remember he once spoke for 40 mins in the house and actually revealed nothing. But this time he had nowhere to hide,if the government don't fudge their way onto phase 2, I can see him resigning. There are times at work when sorting a new product,even...

Davis was giving evidence to the Brexit committee, very badly....Benn was asking about the 50 plus Brexit impact assessments which Davis had previously stated were available. Davis waffled about assessments not being meaningful until after the negotiations. A Tory minister asked whether Davis was...

I have learnt in life never to be a pioneer, better to wait until someone else makes a success or failure then copy or modify.Look forward to being a spectator whilst others experiment, hehe. One of my Chinese suppliers makes some beautiful bicycles with specs equal to the best of the Italian...

The Guardian has said that Davis has said that regulatory alignment will apply to the whole of the U.K,not just NI,I watched Davis in the house today and didn't notice him stating that but if that is the idea then we all need to understand what regulatory alignment means,Davis was very vague...

Why are batteries and motors exempt? Anyway, you are forgetting that non electric bikes are already subject to 54% duty.....I suppose you could down value the bikes value to avoid high duty cost ,bit messy. KudosDave
