Is there a bike that meets my requirements?

Thanks - I hadn't spotted that one in my searching! Seems to be very good value for money, but as you say the carrier doesn't look up to much. That wouldn't b a deal-breaker though if I could think of a way of beefing it up, but what makes it a no-no for me is the quoted torque figure...

For Sale 2022 Gazelle Bloom C380 HMS size 53cm suits 5'6"-6'0"

Medical issues force very reluctant sale of my lovely Bloom C380HMS pedelec. Bought new from Cambridge Cycle Company in August this year, it's done just 308 miles. Frame size is 53cm, which suits both me at 6ft and my wife at 5ft 6in with just saddle height adjustment. It's designed to carry...

    Pondering on motor power ...

Any idea how a 2023-spec Bosch rated 75Nm is likely to compare to the 2019/20-model 70Nm Yamaha PW series

    Pondering on motor power ...

Yes, but that's a 20% increase and I'd expect to notice such a significant difference.

    Pondering on motor power ...

This is in the context of an old git riding crank-engined ebikes on the roads for everyday transport. 1500 miles a year in all weather except ice, can't be doing with Magic Hats, etc etc ... So, the last ebike had a 70N/m Yamaha motor and 8-speed Nexus hub. Brilliant bike, but it also had a...

question about 2020-year Yamaha crank motor

OK ... the label's in the worst possible place to read what it says on it, but it appears to be XOS7Z. However, I can't find a spec for that number online! Apart from the number, the only other clue is YAMAHA in red on the cover, with no other wording ... :(

question about 2020-year Yamaha crank motor

I would like to know the rated torque figure for the Yamaha mid motor fitted to my wife's 2020 Batavus pedelec, but I'm getting nowhere searching online - probably because i don't know the model number of the motor. Is it possible to tell that by looking at it?

To charge or not to charge ...

Just moved from my 2020 Batavus pedelec to a very nice new Gazelle and wondering what current thinking is about battery charging. Top up after any significant use aiming to keep it (more or less) full? Let it run down to 25% or so then charge? Or does it make no odds ...?
