this is my bosch performance motor after 5 years of use with a dongle fitted tho i take good care of all the seals esp the bearings each side of the motor as if any water gets in it will destroy any motor as you can see in peters videos. there are a lot more bosch and Yamaha motors out there...

the bosch system is locked in at the factory so there is no way to up the torque not even a dealer can do it. all you can do is change the gear ratio and stick a dongle on it but removing the speed limit wont climb hills any faster.

my original 400w batt is still going from 2014 and the inside of my motor is like new and use a dongle and ramp the crap out of it ;)

if you keep it clean and lubed and indexed it will last that is my 2nd cassette and sold the old 11spd one on ebay with 1000s of miles on it and i use a dongle ;)

Cheers soundwave, I'll probably hold off for a little bit, then buy a nice eMTB and shove a dongle in it, personally that feels less risky having a 250W stamped bike, compared to buying say a BBSHD/BBS02 stamped 750W+

...250w@ 15mph they can use all of the power going up hills like 800w from a Bosch motor otherwise you would not climb anything. you can fit a dongle in seconds to remove the speed limit on most mid motor bikes just with diy bikes you can just change the speed limit in the controller settings...

you might not need one id get the dongle and take it from there as going bigger at the front means less gears for going up hill. thats like a 63t normal size sprocket and it out gears the motor to the point it was not usable even on the flat. had to try it tho lol ;)

Dongle on back wheel simply reduces frequency of pulse to remove 15.5 mph limit. (It halves the pulses)

They were hard wired for that limit, although the rear orange hub one may be able to use a dongle on that bike.
