    More assistance please

I think part of the problem here is that nobody knows what version(s) of Kalkhoffs Agattu you're talking about. Your first post says "original Kalkhoff Endeavour Agattu 1"... but "Endeavour" is one range of Kalkhoff ebikes, and "Agattu 1" is a totally different range. Kalkhoffs current series...

    More assistance please

The kalkhoff's can't be de restricted unless a dongle is used, like most mid motor oem bikes they are tamper proof electrically due to the nature of the system.

    More assistance please

I've tried the dongle and it doesn't work. My bike isn't capped at 16mph. My old agattu was 'supercharged' and gave noticeably more assistance but the motor started making a loud grating noise

    More assistance please

Mid motors use a dongle to trick the bikes speed, the trip mileage would be out. Ebiketuning sell the items whether the agattu is covered I don't know, if you have the impulse drive then it may fail even quicker with a dongle.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

But the more we advertise and shout about it the more inevitable restrictions will be enforced. If there are a couple of thousand illegal ebike on road, nobody will care. When they all are they will stop it. And if they can't differentiate at parks and such the lot will be banned. And we are...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

So, why don't you take an advert out in paper to tell everyone, post on here, on YouTube and Facebook and then watch number of derestricted bikes grow until plod has to do something about it. That's a brilliant strategy SW. Great. Keep going, half way now. If you are onto something good... A...

Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 625 AllRoad

...tho it is only a matter of time as still no one has cracked the can bus problem but with the new power tube batts you have to destroy them to take them apart  with all these new smart displays and software updates via your phone bricking your wired in dongle could be just 1 update...

That's good, wasn't sure if people like Bosch had developed software to prevent them working. I wouldn't like to ride mine without it being derestricted.

Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 625 AllRoad

...bike and it is on the brake rotor but can pull the speed sensor cable out enough to mount it on a different bracket so can use the bad ass dongle. if that is not a option you can put the magnet back on the spokes and just find a different way to mount the sensor with the dongle fitted over it.

Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 625 AllRoad

I'm using a Badass, I wonder if one could still be used on current Cubes, even of the magnet is on the rotor?

Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 625 AllRoad

depends where the magnet is located as most now seem to mount them on the disc rotors which is a pita if you want bigger ones but the dongles wired in to the motors still work atm, tho a software update to the bike could brick the dongle.

Weight limits for really hilly commute

Hi does any one know if what the Department of Transport has said, has ever been tested in a court of law, as saying this does not mean it would stand up in law, if there has been a case, yes it may, but still would only be in the, circumstances of that case. If I put a spare hub motor on my...

Weight limits for really hilly commute

It's certainly very confusing; the regulations are not at all clear about what constitutes a 'switch'. My understanding (not at all guaranteed correct) is that a switch is something that can easily be changed while out riding; eg a physical switch, or controls via the display buttons. If...

Weight limits for really hilly commute

Derestriction, ‘off-road’ switches or modes and dongles The Department of Transport say that electric bikes fitted with off-road switches or modes, that enable a bike’s motor to continue assisting to speeds beyond 15.5mph, do not comply with UK EAPC law. The term ‘off-road’ suggests that these...
