    Halfords

In market for a couple of folding e bikes, don't want to buy online. Looking at Halfords who seem to sell a good range of e bikes. They used to be OK to deal with when I had pedal bikes, anyone know if there OK on ebike sales and servicing. Local e bike shops not very good

    Fold up bike

I'm 5' 9. Approx 16 st. 29" leg, Her indoors 6' 2 " as for weight, all I will say is a lot less than me... I was used to the throttle on the Woosh, I am sure the Woosh did more than 15mph, was more like 17mph, 15 would be ok. I liked the digital display on the Woosh, the Secret, doesn't seem...

    Fold up bike

Tried out a Batribike fold up, not bad to ride, not to impressed with the folding side though, can't say it actually folds up that small, we could get two on back of the car, but not that easy. Local shop has no other folders in stock. Probably will have to travel further afield to find...

    Fold up bike

Thanks for that i did realise afterwards that the Zephyr B was no good with the larger wheels, i looked at the gale, but it could be a bit on the small size for our weight. i wasnt to keen on the Zephyr CDN, with just three speeds and what looks like same motor set up as on my sport cd, not eay...

    Fold up bike

Have spent ages looking online, we both quite like the look of the Wisper 806 Torque, have tested a Wisper full size bike a couple of years back, can't remember the model, but build quality looked very good. Brompton was another but at over £2000 it doesn't warrent spending that much for leisure...

    Folding bike gears

Testing may be a bit of a problem, only one e bike stockist where I live, who don't stock folders as far as I know.So buying on line is only real option. Folders are only option for car ( Skoda Fabia) . I would take battery off before lifting the bike anyway. Not going to rush into this, have to...

    Folding bike gears

Ok, thanks for all the replies, think i may be restricted a bit by selection on fold up bikes, but a least i have some idea what to look for now. the Woosh CD sport is a nice bike, when you get used to the gear change, i will miss it, but fold ups will suit us better for getting in smaller car...

    Folding bike gears

Oops.. sorry. Her bike was a Peugeot remember model, think it was a crank drive, gears were hub. All I am asking is would she have same problems I have on my Woosh cd sport with gear change, if we bought folding bikes with derailleur gears, I suspect it's the crank drives that cause the...

    Folding bike gears

Have had my Woosh sport CD a while now, but have decided to sell and buy a couple of folding bikes, so we can take them in car on holidays and days out. Wife's sold her bike and I'm going to probably stick mine on Gum Tree. Question I have us re gears, on the Woosh changing gears when under...

    Fold up bike

Just a thought with fold up e bikes, my Woosh Sport Cd needs a kanck to obtain smooth gear change, something i sort of got used to, my other half could never master it, her old bike had Nexus hub gears, think they were 7 speed. Most of the folding bikes i have looked at up to now have derailleur...
