    Wonky pedal

I've managed to straighten and tighten it up without any paste. I've found replacement crank arms for about £25 so that'll be my backup plan.

    Wonky pedal

I had to google that - thought you were winding me up! :)

    Wonky pedal

Somehow I've managed to screw on one of my pedals so it's not sitting flush and fouled the threads. Other than replacing the pedal and crank arm, is there anything else I can do?

    Rubber lined p clips

Can anyone recommend where or what type of shop I can buy rubber lined p clips from? I'll order online if need be, but was hoping to buy local (Plymouth) tomorrow.

    Cube Cross for sale

This is a fantastic deal. I'm kicking myself as I would've bought this in a flash if I hadn't already bought from a shop!

    Warranty advice

I haven't seen that one before but it says the adapter can fit oval tubes up to 55mm which is promising. Still go the matter of repair, replacement or refund under warranty though. I love the bike but never expected problems in the first few weeks when spending £1700.

    Warranty advice

I've had a look at the site and I think that's the Bellelli standard. There appears to be a Bellelli multifix (http://bellellicanada.com/product/ further down the page), which specifically says it fits circular as well as elliptical frames. I'll pop down to Halfords tomorrow morning.

Thank you both, that's very helpful. We borrowed an old Hamax seat and adapter but it didn't fit around the tube.

    Warranty advice

On a standard downtube we could, but the Cube low steps have metal welded to the back of the tube to protect the cable going to the battery, meaning it isn't oval shaped and around 54mm in diameter.

Thanks for the suggestion however my bike is a step through frame.

    Warranty advice

Our daughter is 16kg. Battery is 2.6kg. I doubt a seat comes to 6.4kg, so it should be fine, but I'm unwilling to risk it after the rack failed before we even attempted this option.

    Warranty advice

Thanks. They're not local and have been helpful (hence why I'm not naming them here) but I think I've been a bit niave in how I've dealt with this. I've been blaming myself and now that it's more than a week since the fault, I've started to get annoyed. The bit which confuses me is a bike is...

    Warranty advice

Some of you will know my story already but to recap: my wife and I bought two Cube Ebikes from an online retailer (who were very helpful) and we took delivery on 23rd March. Around mid April my bike developed a fault - the rear rack housing the battery broke (welding fault). I contacted the shop...

Updating thread to say the bike is no longer for sale.

    Pannier racks

I was curious because my original racktime carrier broke and although the supplier is replacing I wondered what alternatives were out there. Also I've not found a reseller for Racktime e-bike racks should I ever need to replace outside of warranty.

    Pannier racks

A related question - are Racktime the only reseller of rear racks that can take Bosch batteries?

Failed on my first big hill

This is not my experience. Riding up the steep hills of Plymouth requires no effort on my part other than turning the pedals in the lowest gear. Sure I might be reduced to 7-9mph but I'm still getting to where I need to go, and overtaking standard bikes.

    Pannier racks

That seems fine. The pictures I've seen have it tilted at what I'd guess is a 20-25 degree angle.

    Cube Touring Hybrid 400 54cm

It's an interesting thought but I'm not very mechanically minded. Also I can't do anything unless I sell mine :)

Love my 6 week old bike but need to sell/swap it

Our daughter is too big for front mounts seats. No buyer yet so I'm wondering about chancing the rear rack mounted seat and maybe seeing a local welder to reinforce the rack.
