    Conversion kit

Hi all I am interested in fitting a Whoosh conversion kit. Just a hub motor and down tube mounted battery. I would really like to see an example in 'the flesh' so to speak. Therefore I am wondering if there is anyone near me who may have an example I could see. I am in Norfolk, NR5, on the...

E bike battery life if not used regularly

Hello Thank you very much for your helpful advice about the battery, CANbus and also the M25 motor. I didn't know that the motor had proved poor. It sounds like I should steer clear of that e bike.

E bike battery life if not used regularly

Hello all I am hoping to be given some advice on a possible e bike purchase. I have seen an Ebco urban city UCR-60 e bike for sale secondhand locally. I like it as it has hub gears , mid drive motor and it is suited to my modest needs of a 20 mile round trip on flat terrain. The V brakes it has...

Would a Dawes Karakum be a reasonable donor bike for use when using an e bike conversion kit.

Hello Thank you for your advice. The Karakum uses V brakes and although not as powerful as disc brakes I think for my light loading and low speeds the V brakes will do. The motor would be 250W. What advantages would a rear wheel motor have over a front hub motor please.

Hi all I am considering aquiring a Dawes Karakum for use as a donor bike for an e bike conversion kit. So I am wondering if anyone has used the same bicycle and were they happy with the conversion? It will be a gents frame, 700c wheels and 700 x 32C tyres. It has an alloy frame but steel forks...

Conversion kit to make an e bike.

Thank you, the Amazon bike did look the sort of item that would be suitable for me. I'm just looking for as basic a model as possible, for example I don't need a quick release seat ( easy to steal) , I do worry that there would be no dealer back up.

Conversion kit to make an e bike.

Thanks for the advice. I will be using the e bike just for short trips, no steep hills. I thought a front hub motor saves all the power going through the chain/sprockets and gives two wheel drive in effect. Is there a disadvantage to front hubs?

Conversion kit to make an e bike.

Hello all I am considering getting a front hub ebike conversion kit. The bicycle I am considering getting secondhand as a doner is something like a Dawes Karakum or Dawes Mojave ( although a 7 to 11 speed rear hub gear system would also be looked at). Has anyone got any recommendations: 1) for...
