Error code 1 on bafang hub

Just a quickie. Took the e-mtb up to the local trail, Nant yr Arian. First time I turned it on error code 1. Turned it off and on a couple of times then rode off. 10 mile no problems. Looked it up in the book when I got home it says it means throttle error. I didn't actually fit the throttle...

    Just added mud guards...

I hate the look of mudguards on a bike but it's starting to get really mucky and I'm getting fed of coming home looking like I've been sprayed with mud. Tredz had these for £8 so thought I'd give them a go. Very plasticky but I didn't get covered so I guess they'll be staying on till spring :)

Pine martens. An unusual use for e MTB?

Bit of a weird thread to start I know but I thought it might be of interest. I live in mid Wales and have spent years looking for a possibly extinct (in Wales) pine marten. That's kind of how I ended on this forum and also how come I've now done hundreds of miles on my DIY hub conversion MTB. So...

Two hub conversions side by side comparison....

I've converted two mtb now, one for me and one for the other half. I must be misunderstanding something because they perform in a way I wouldn't expect from what I've been trying to learn on here. Hers is a ebc kit fitted to a gt mtb. Their info says it is a 36v low rpm motor...

    is there a "best" controller?

So, you all know what it's like with ebikes someone tries one, then next thing you know they want one :) because of that , I have now fitted a kit to my bike , mt gf's bike and my mums! But here is the thing: my bike rides "freer" than my other halfs. They both have rear hub , 250w watt...

Woosh MTB conversion rear gears question

I have a donor MTB now for converting to use on lanes and trails. Does anyone see any problems with the gears that it currently has or any other problems come to that? The shimano cog on the back has 8 cogs? Seems excessive Going to go with hub conversion. Woosh looks like the best bet. I need...

The riddle of complete bikes cheaper than kits?

I've been looking at rear hub kits and here's a strange thing. Some sellers on Amazon (and probably eBay) sell whole MTB with 250 rear motor and battery cheaper than kits cost. I saw one for £350 ish. It had bafang kit on it. Hundred pound cheaper than any kit and free bike. Bikes and kits must...

How tough are rear hubs off road ?

I was just about to pull the trigger on a 350w rear hub conversion kit but I've just bought a nice Scott MTB, which is really nice on the trails... I'm going to go electric with one bike or other... The mountain bike tracks have a lot of uphill obviously, so the assistance would be great but...

Hello, looking to get a conversion kit on my road bike..

Hi everyone, I have been lurking on the forum for a while and it inspired me to try a leccy bike. unfortunately I loved it ! :( I know a common route is to get a used mtb or similar but I have an old road bike that fits me really well. A trek 1000 This is obviously not ideal but most of my...
